The TCG set name's prefixes. Neo, Platinum, XY, etc. --- Come to think of it I really hope that this gives us the fresh layout change that XY didn't. The lack of that and any real new SR variants could have been held back for the fairly quick introduction of OR/AS.

I'd be surprised if they changed from the name of the main games of the generation so soon.

They'll probably be done not long down the road. XY didn't really leave the TCG much in the way of legendaries.

If you're putting all the promos together though, and they are indeed the missing 8, you'll have three on one page and five on the other.

Oh wow, they're keeping the Shiny Collection holographics. I was sure they would just use the current reverse style or the pre-EP one.

The discussion is kind of outdated with the recent reveals, but they ended up not being placeholders after all Still kind of silly that they pegged this to retailers as XY products though.

DP tins were just the set cards holofoiled, with the same number and layout released a few months later BW tins were the start of the BW promos, with the new layout These seem to have the BW layout so chances are they're BW promos, so not quite what's been done before.

Fairy wasn't added to make the TCG deeper and more interesting, it was added to get people to buy the cards on back of the hype of the new video game type. There's really no reason for them to ever spilt up the current TCG types.
