SPs are nowhere near as prevalent in this set as they have been in the past two. I think that's what Ryan was getting at.

Yes, SPs haven't been completely removed, but they might as well have been.

1x Cursegar.

I'd pay $80 or more for that. Hope my shops will have all that. lol

In no order this set is in league with Gym Heroes (was decent when it came out, but after Gym Challenge and Neo Genesis the set was really quite awful), Neo Discovery (Tyrogue a common was the best card, that is silly), and SV.

I rather liked Gym Heroes, but we should also remember that the two Gym sets were one set in Japan.

Neo Discovery was...interesting. Light Pokemon were just a bad idea. Just...bad. I've still got some of mine, and they've NEVER BEEN PLAYED. The Shining Pokemon in that set were nice, though.
 
I can see some people doing Gazdget Bolt with the Unowns.. they are searchable easily and can be Maintenance, TSD or Rescued.


Some interesting ideas in this set... just have to find them!!

First off, I am pretty sure that it was 2 sets in Japan but not a big deal, and Neo Discovery didn't have any Shinings, that was Neo Revelations. It would a bit better had it had them, but alas it didn't.

I am planning on going to a Pre tomorrow, but I really hope that I pull something worth my 25$ as I really don't expect to, but if I pull something cool and have fun, then it is worth it. :biggrin:

I can't really see defending this set, either. Most of it really isn't that great. As others have said, theres a little bit of gold in here, but not by much. The only thing really putting it over SV is that theres less cards in the set so you won't pull crappy legend birds in every other pack.

Haha i must have 6 or 7 of the birds. None the secret rares tho XD
 
The box ratio that I've seen so far is 3 Lv.X's, 1 Shiny, and 9 Arceus. That's just one box though so we'll get a clearer picture this weekend of the ratio.

What's with all the bashers on here??? Try coming up with some cool ideas instead of being all negative.

How is that right? You only get 12 foils in a 36-pack box. How do you get 3X, 1SH, and 9AR = 13? You get no other foils?

The Arceus cards must count as RHs then to get 9 of them in a box.
 
This set is odd, it has some cards that will change the game completly and a ton of crap. But I really like it, Expert Belt and Spiritomb, if they'd fill the rest of the set with Rattatas I'd still be satisfied

They could be like the Unown (From UF) or Matrix Energy, They could replace the RH in one in 5 packs. That would seem logical and would make the packs a bit better becuase instead of crap every 5 packs I get an Arcues instead. :lol: & :thumb:

Remember, both Neo revelations and destiny had shinings.

As for the set, I'm really excited and hope the box ratios are reasonable. The Arceus cards look uber cool.
 
I don't think this set is that bad, but bad compared to recent sets. Since I've started playing, the Power Creep has been huge. This set has cards with potential, but nothing game breaking or having a potential to completely throw the metagame. With SV and now this, it seems like they're trying to slow the Power Creep down. Alot better in the long run.
 
well the set has some potential but nothing really got my eyes to shine. The notable things i think are xpert belt, buffer piece, spiritomb, lucky egg, omastar, and charizard, i hope for a good box ratio
