Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

2009-2010 modified format announced

Yay? Ooooh, does this mean TPCi actually listen to what people want?

*goes and starts a wish-list*

Definitely a bit unexpected, but a most-welcomed change. Now I just fear the large cut coming in the 2010-2011 year, lol.

It's a bad decision, in combination of the decision to ban the japanese cards.

The players who played with japanese cards this year must have to bought too many cards, so I think that players will stop to play this year because of that.

Yeah it's great that they are trying to leave the card pool expanded to help newer players...

But that doesn't exactly solve the problem of how new players are supposed to get cards like Claydol and Uxie in the first place.

This was a great move by POP, it lets them get on a worldwide format next year when they rotate up to PL-on, and everyone can keep their claydols and i can keep my SW Flygons :thumb:

I got a fun game, its called "Spot the poor suckers who traded their Claydols away/bought Uxie for far too high price tags".

Also, as someone else said, everyone who was spreading rumors about GE being banned should be forced to play without Claydol and Unown G.

Coïncidentally, I have 2 Claydols and 4 TSD's for trade.

So you're saying people are gonna quit the game because of this?

WOW. It really happened!

This seemed like the best move to all along, but I didn't think it was realistic. But it really happened! :D

now we have to have threads on how power creep is necessary to sell new cards. Followed by threads bemoaning power creep and the instability it brings to the format. :D

As a league leader I love this move. I've lost a lot of players from my league due to set rotations. Kids buy a ton of a few sets and lose them when rotation happens, and they can't afford to buy newer stuff quite so easily= loss of players. This time, I'm hoping to retain people at league for a bit longer, and hopefully help them get better for next year's Nats.

As a card owner - this is gonna make it tough for me. I usually take most of my traders to league. The box already weighs 150#!
