Ugghhh, more disappointing cards.
100 HP is great for a stage 1. The psychic weakness is a pain, and the retreat cost is a bit heavy.
Slowking is really a worser Uxie Lv.X. The Poke-power has a similar effect, but instead of having yourself choose, your opponent decides what card goes into your hand. Seriously, your opponent is literally going to give you the worser card, so that's why this card won't be as effective as one may think. As an attacker, OK, it is sort of decent. 60 for three (two with a DCE) is a bit average, but seriously, Uxie Lv.X is a lot better.
Overall 1/10 in modified, 5/10 in limited, and 1/10 in unlimited
In modified, this card really just fails. It is very inferior in attacking and most of all, consistency help in a format like this. Uxie Lv.X is much better because you can decide as opposed to Slowking Prime where your opponent can decide. Uxie Lv.X can attack faster as well, which can now attack for possibly one energy with a DCE for 60. Slowking needs more energy compared to it. Therefore, I really doubt that Slowking is going to do well here.:nonono:
In limited, this card is a bit decent. As an attacker, it is actually pretty fine, but as usual, it won't offer the best consistency with the power. Yet, because we don't have the Uxie line here, I guess it could be useful. Otherwise, its average at best.
In unlimited, this card, once again, won't do much here. There are better ways to attack, the weakness can be quite a pain with many
sychic: types around, and there are billions of better ways to boost consistency compared to Slowking. Thus, like modified, this card just ends up being collection worthy most of the time.:nonono:
