2012?

Well some religous people say it was roughly 4500 years ago because that is when God vreated the world. But the bible said Adam and eve live for 9000 years so? Science says that the earth was created when the Big ABng hapened 4.5 billion years ago.

On Topic I think the Myans/Aztec's will be false becasue the Aztec Sun Calandar predicted the world wil end 5 times. Each time the date came a major natural disaster happened but it did not end the world. So I think that the world will not end but I think some sort of naturals disaster will happen.

I remember an earthquake struck and on the news, I heard there was a lot of people praying out of nowhere when people didn't try to at least avoid being smashed. So yeah, wasn't this written in the bible?

Not true. The Earth could easily undergo a terrible natural disaster on that day.

I am a christian. I also believe in the big bang and evolution. I think this whole "2012 " stuff is just dumb. This is my opinion. The media is about scaring people. Scared people=Cash. It's kind of dumb yet total idiots will buy into it. The world ended(jokingly) when the current president was elected.
 
Maybe the 4772 is a different calender.
I just checked on google and it says the jewish year is 5770 so 2 more years it will be 5772 which will be for us 2012.

Maybe the 4772 is really 5772 maybe your 4 should be a 5.

In other words the world will end 8E/7C or 5770/2012

Maybe jut like time change maybe we will deal with year change.

8oclock here 7 central 2012 here 5770 there.


This is probably why time travel has not been made yet with the hours and years different along with daylight saving time and leap year it would probably be extremly confusing and hard to get the exact travel right.

Because you said that the reason Time Travel isn't possible yet may be down to daylight savings time.

The reason that Time Travel isn't possible yet is because we have nowhere near the technology to do it. If it is possible (which it may not be) then we would need ships which can travel faster than the speed of light, and we would need to have a full grasp on wormholes and be able to tell exactly where they would take us which at the moment we can't do.

And that is just one theory for Time Travel. If you wanted to be able to select your destination and just appear there in the style of the TARDIS or the Delorian, then you would need to be capable of punching holes in the fabric of the universe to create a wormhole type tunnel to another time, and it would then have to close itself after you left.

So Time Travel isn't possible because of technology, not because we can't factor in an hours difference due to daylught savings time. That would just make us appear a hour earlier or later than we planned.
 
Its not only daylight savings time its everything.

For instance lets say you wanna travel to 2004 in time travel there is alot to consider.

Weather or not its daylight savings time or not,when you mean the "time" do you have the accurate hour in the right time zone and do you have the right year.

i can end up in 2004 on the chinese calendar and instead of 8pm my time i can end up in some other time zone.

So correct year in correct calendar with corect time in correct time zone that might be kinda hard.

i dident just mean daylight savings i meant everything that means time travel.
 
No it wouldn't be "kinda hard".

Figuring out time difference is insanely easy compared to building a machine that can travel faster than light and harness the power of wormholes to move through time.

You can even use google to work out time differences.

4772 would be the Gregorian year for this date. The Mayan date would be 1.0.0.0.0.8.

Here's an excerpt from "A Forest of Kings, the Untold Story of the Ancient Maya" by Linda Schele and David Friedel:

"December 23, 2012, will be 13.0.0.0.0 4 Ahau 3 Kankin, the day when the 13 baktuns will end and the Long Count cycls return to the symmetry of the behinning. The Maya, however, did not conceive this to be the end of this creation, as many have suggested. Pacal, the great king of Palenque, predicted tin his inscriptions that the eightieth Calendar Round anniversary of his accession will be celebrated eight days after the first eight-thousand-year cycle in the Maya caldndar ends. In our time system, this cycle will end on October 15, 4772. (Freidel and Schele, 82)"



The whole 2012 thing is supposed to go down on the Mayan date of 13.0.0.0.0. Notice the 5 places in this date compared to the 6 places in the above date.

From what I've gathered, the deal with 2012 is that, according to Mayan creation myths, we are living in the fourth creation attempt by the gods. The other three didn't work out well (problems with people made from mud or wood; we're supposedly made from maize), so each attempt was destroyed and replaced with the next one. Supposedly each destruction of the previous worlds took place on the date 12.19.19.17.19 (The day before 13.0.0.0.0, since the Mayan calendar is a combination of base-20 and base-18), and the first day of each new world would have been 13.0.0.0.0 of the previous world.


Also, since the Hebrew calendar doesn't match the Gregorian one, the year 5772 will actually end on September 15, 2012.
