Piplup, perhaps you aren't reading his post properly. He's saying that the CP payout for the players standings in 2012 world's are as follows. Why would he need kickers? If someone placed anywhere from 33rd place all the way down to 64th place they would receive 50 CP's from World's that just finished toward this year's total CP's they earn to be used towards World's 2013. In effect he's saying that it doesn't matter how many people attended and played in World's .... here's what we're giving you (or... here's what you earned according to how you finished at World's 2012).

Pretty much what sdrawkcab said. Not to mention, based on the points originally posted for Worlds, no division hit the kicker for 33-64, so I'm asking now if that kicker still applies, since he didn't specify either way.

Ok then, let me see if you are affected. What was your finish at World's 2012? What place were you? 33rd-64th? If so, then you're affected, and will receive 50 points. Doesn't seem that hard to figure out.

Cut the arrogance, it gets neither of us anywhere.

Given that Worlds attendance isn't "optional" per se, meaning it's not like they're waiting to see how many people show up to govern the awarding of points, it makes sense to me that attendance requirements don't need to be factored in to the above. In other words, if you were good enough to be finish 50th best, that is being rewarded! There were 49 people above you, but it doesn't matter how many people are below you....in Hawaii at that tournament or in the rest of the world.

Personally, we are grateful to learn of this news. Nice consolation for bubbling 33rd place. Thank you, Dave and company!

State and regional?

Wait so they only count the points from state and regionals combined or not?

Like, lets say I went to 3 regionals and 4 states, would they do the top 4
I participated in or just 4 of them combined?

*Edit* Sorry for not editing this, what, months earlier? But you just answered my question so thank you!

Nepeta, can you rephrase your question? It's not making sense to me.

Regionals and States are grouped together for purposes of counting the Best Finish limits. So the only difference is that Regionals is worth more points. If you went to 3 Regionals and 4 States, add up the points you received from the highest four.
