Yeah Faswave just tears through safeguards like Wobbuffet, Wobbuffet is jast plain bad in this format. I think Absolutions with Mew ex and few teches have answer to anything and it can win any deck with a decent start and with a great player. Seriously it's the BDIF at the moment...

Most games you wont even USE Vap to KO Wob-

I just spread damage and KOed them with Absol's Power.

Then whatever they had left, just attacked with Jolteon and Umbreon

Vaporeon just makes it smoother.

I'm surprised there's no Warp Points in here... that's a psuedo-windstorm against a Cessation lol, and the damage you spread around should make Warp Points such a good play. Just 10 damage grows over time, Jolty* something, Warp, Pulse and the damage starts. Could be good for any damage spreading actually... 10 - 20 HP 'til KO should be on th ebench for the KO rather than making you go overboard on damage.

But who am I to talk? This thing apparently dominated, especially with Mario being popular. Odd that Scizorgross did well too in the face of Infercatty. These decks defy matchups lol.

Good article btw ^^

+techs = good

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

cessation crystal/cursed stone dont kill the deck unless you get all 4 of both in the first couple turns...3 windstorms+2 stumps take care of the cursed stones as well as 3 crystals. That leaves one crystal that has to be KO'd assuming the opponent can draw into all 4 of them.

I find 3 Absol ex's way too much. I'd limit it down to 2. You have Super Scoop Ups, and it limits your chances of starting with Absol. And why is there no Umbry in that list. The ability to drag any Pokemon you wish is just too good

i was wondering ; what could i do if the T2 pulsing combo didnt happen? there's absolutely no more time to power up quick enough to beat other fast decks.

Wow, thanks to the pokegym crew for putting this up :D Note that it was submitted before US nats ;P

Thanks very much for your comments and compliments, I've been on vacation for the past 2 weeks so sorry I didn't get back to you all earlier.

It is meant to be a very basic list for you guys to get started with. Those techs are very rotatable, you can have a lot of fun with this deck with them.

The tech I played with at the Northwest UK tourney was Registeel. Helped out in game 2 of the final v. Metanite w/ Ray*. Game one I'd T2'd him, so he filled his bench fast which made spreading very effective. With 2 Absol drops he wasn't able to pull off his Ray* because of this iirc. Good tech, but there is a world of difference between that second and third energy, so I don't play it anymore.

I accept your comments about the Mario matchup. However you are relying on good opening hands to T1/2 me, which isn't the most reliable way of winning. Remember that Mew with Rainbow/Multi and Jolteon ex/*/SSU's etc. is just as able to carry-out your own stratergy of the quick ko. Point taken though and I do see where you're coming from. I might revise that.

T2 pulsing isn't all that. You realy do need to play to the situation on the table here. I probably play for a T2 pulse once every 5 or so games. Much more often I play second bite T2 and go through them from there.

Again - play to the situation.

The problem I had with Registeel ex was that with a castform and nrg attached, the opponent probably has attacks to copy that are more useful or disruptive, and the strong case you said for the second to third nrg.

With so many small costed attacks, fueling a second attacker is probably a better strategy than risking losing three nrg drops.

Glalie doesn't quite make the mark but uncoloured nrg cost may work in certain situations or maybe not. It can spread T1 as a starter even with horrid support and it only gives one prize.

I have been playing absolutions for a while now, and it has been going great it is a excellent deck and very fun to play. It beats most of the metagame and it also using alot of thinking behind it, it is like a copy of destiny except it is a bit easier to play and it is more fun IMO. you can drop the absol out of no where and bam gg mate.

Well thats it from me

How have you been teching it? Kempley's original list plus a Roselia, Celebi ex, Tauros and Lunalock look good.

Either this deck, or a deck that will contain Rayquaza ex d and/or Sceptile ex d will win worlds this weekend. Good luck to all.
