Am I the only one driving 300 miles for Cities?!?!?

Cities are important. For one thing there's rankings. For another, it's a chance to see the metagame and get experieince and polish your deck.

Personally, I couldn't/can't/won't pay anything to go to Battle Roads, so this is really my only chance to polish before State.

I feel really bad for you guys. I live in Holland and because Holland is such a small country we have about 10 cc's which I can drive to in about a hour.

not a problem... Australia is probably the most distant between City champs. Some countries only have ONE city champs such as Malaysia and New Zealand... Not good.

Yeah I'm from Malaysia and I have to travel about 18x kilometres to reach the main city for cities etc.I've never been to any yet.I'm a casual player

I am driving from Grand Junction, Colorado to Colorado Springs Colorado. Check Google Maps.

All the Cities in my state are at least 250 miles away. I picked this one because it was a little later and maybe I could use my holiday money to stay overnight and not have to driver there at four in the morning.

Does anyone else have to drive an insane distance to CITIES?

Ok, what you had to do isnt all that uncommon for me and my family...

We do 10-12 CC's each season, and aboult half of them are 220+ miles (One way). So, dont feel bad.:thumb:

Weve gotten it down to where we can drive down that morning (leave at 3am), play, and then drive back and still get home before 12-1am.

From Tallahassee, the closest city is 2.5 hours away (roughly 180 miles),
The closest one after that is at least 3 hours away.

But eventually that will change. It's hard to get a good venue out here so far. That and the small playerbase.

I don't quite understand why there are that many cities in Utah, but yeah.

I recently moved to Orem, Utah, which is about 35-40 miles south of Salt Lake and
apparantly there's either a lot of players in the Salt Lake Valley(5 out of 7 are there),
or we have a really good PTO, or a lot of potential venues, or something else I can't
think of. Whatever the reason is, I intend to hit all 7, the farthest is in Roy, about 70 miles away.

How about Texas? o_O

And once again MD only gets 2....

Something really needs to be done to make them spread more evenly, as it provides an unfair advantage to those who have more CCs close by.

I lived in MD for years, just hop over to PA/DE/VA like I did. Besides, you guys will be
compensated big time when States and Regionals roll around. I remember being able to
attend 4 different States out there and multiple regionals. Out here in Utah, It's like a 400
mile drive to Boise or Las Vegas where Idaho and Nevada States will likely be held. I don't
even want to imagine the distances I'll have to go for Regionals, while MD will probably
have 2 or 3 fairly close by.

I am going to 3 that are less than an hour away and i might go to one that's an hour and 20min. away.
I am probably using something with leafeon[i always end up using leafeon] or T2 rhyperior.

Sadly they made it so you can only go to 2 states and 1 regs now.
