well. pardon my french, but up to now, i think this promo set, officially stinks.
c'mon this is the one where they should have re-printed claydol or any other broken card from past or new sets, supporters mainly...a waste of card- paper...
i'm sorry....this has been one of the most anticipated pop sets, but i guess it didn't rise to the occassion, as always
well, it was most likely to be this way, anyway...
Here we go again. Unless you had league at 10:00am this morning, you should NOT know what's in any POP 8 packs.

You have to realize too, that only a few cards have been released to the public from this set. There are still a handful of other rares, and uncommons, that we know nothing about.

I see where you're coming from, but this creates an interesting problem. I don't need to know first thing this morning what's in this set, but the information needs to get disseminated at some point soon. Battle Roads start in less than a week, and if I showed up to a tournament to find somebody playing a card not listed in the Card-Dex, I'd be pretty displeased. (Imagine if it was something format-changing like Miasma Valley!) Hopefully PUI won't be keeping it a secret for that long... players shouldn't have to rely on leaks to find out what they'll be playing against.Unless you had league at 10:00am this morning, you should NOT know what's in any POP 8 packs.
I think it's highly unlikely that Miasma or anything as significant will show up in POP8, precisely because of the problem I described. I used it for example only because everybody else is. :tongue:I don't get why people keep mentioning miasma valley as a possibility for POP8.
I disagree with you. There are a few people that I wouldn't have an issue opening packs. League Leaders who run league often don't have time to play. I wouldn't have an issue having them take the stuff they deserve for running the league at the beginning. However, that is just my opinion.

League leaders never have the right to open items before they can be received by their players at large.
Same with PTOs and new release product.
Sure, we are running the events, and get support for judging, but it does NOT entitle us to open the product early. Never.

Hmmm I would have to disagree to this one, The stuff is for the league "players" not the league leader, owner oranyone else other than the players.
100% agree with this one.

Huh, Miasma Valley is format-changing?(Imagine if it was something format-changing like Miasma Valley!)
Argh, this isn't about Miasma Valley. My point is that there is the potential for unhappiness (for players, judges, and TOs alike) if there are cards being played in BRs that only a few people know exist. We know there are cards in POP8 that have not yet been seen in English. For everybody's sanity, there really ought to be a Card-Dex posted ASAP.Huh, Miasma Valley is format-changing?
Anyway, there is absolutely no reason to print this card (which is related to IFDS and to Dusknoir!) early. I'd rather think that the promo Dusknoir (which would really be format-changing imo) could be in POP-8, but if Heatran is 1/17 there isn't any room for this card.
