Ban Blaziken Ex: Save The Format

Weilemom- Getting all of that out is far from difficult. Current Blaziken Rayquaza and Blaziken Rayquaza Ampharos decks get 2 Blaziken, Ampharos, Rayquaza and Delcatty in play with very little difficulty. What makes this possible is Dunsparce, which gets 3 basics, aka, a Torchic, a Mareep and a Skitty usually, or if you have one in your hand as well, it goes for Rayquaza or multiple Torchics. You also have TV Reporter and POR, and once you land a Delcatty in play, you can use Oracle to search your deck for any two cards directly into your hand. That makes it VERY easy to get these combos out.

BUT thank you for asking about getting it out consistantly, I was surprised no one else had brought it up as it does seem like a very idealist deck over a practical one and I would have had the same suspicions had I not experienced the deck so much.

Here's an idea: If you really want to prove your case, why not videotape a BEX v. something else match. Then play another match with the decks reversed. Reading descriptions of what happens kinda takes something out of it. Kinda like reading a lyric sheet isn't the same as hearing the song.

Now, I have a question, have ANY of you played against an EXPERIENCED player with a Blaze/Ray/Amphy? It Works the SAME EXACT way as T-tar is saying in the descriptions of the turns.

Furret begins writing upon a wall:

Disturb not the harmony
of fire, ice, or lighting,
lest these titans wreak
destruction upon the world
in which they clash.

Though, the water's great guardian
shall arise to quell the fighting.
Alone, it's song will fail.
Thus, the earth shall turn to Ash.

O, chosen one, into thy hands
bring together all three.
Their treasures combined
tame the beast of the sea.

Maybe he means the harmony between Kingdra EX/Amphy EX/BAR, since that's Water/Lightning/Fire.

I bet this same topic will come up again when Blastoise EX is printed in America (if it is) unless it's errated. You all will whine and say that it's too strong and has a game-breaking power, just like Blaziken EX has a game-breaking attack. There all lots of counters to Blaziken EX. For example, Milotic! Which is a good card in any deck because of its ability to utilize DRE in any deck. Wonderhit only takes WWCC. Its power rules too. TAWR is another good counter. Yes, I'm naming cards from my deck. Guess why? It's a water deck. It'll beat the snot out of Blaziken EX. But Ray EX will be a problem. However, that's off topic. Gardevoir EX. Four energy on Gardy EX plus two energy on Blaziken after it uses Volcanic Ash already equals 120 damage. Two more energies in play and its a KO. And the good BAR player will need three Blaziken on their bench. That's four torchics taken up. What's that? Town Volunteers? True, but it'll still take two or maybe even three turns to get Blaziken EX set back up again. During that time, play a Whishcash. :p

I will try to paraphrase. You should not disturb the harmony of equal types in the format (like fire, ice and lightning) because if one becomes too powerful (Fire and blaziken ex) it will be the destruction of the game! Though Water will arise to try to stop the imbalance (of fire) it will fail and the game will burn to ash. Mtjimmer, it's in your hands to even out the metagame. All the good decks viable will make us all happy.
I really have no idea but prof. Zuver (and Furret) always seem to have some meaning behind these.

You do realize that Blastoise ex and Milotic won't come out for another 2 sets?

Yes. So the format's doomed until then.

NOT!

There are a few solutions. Play Gardevoir/Electrode, which comes out next set. It answers just about any deck's challenge, and Blaziken EX is weak to PSYCHIC. As for the here and now, you're doomed. NOT! Just rely on your skill and build the best deck you possibly can. Or play Whishcash. Don't take this seriously please.

And you must believe in your deck and in yourself, because it's time to dadadadadaduel!

If the money thing is a problem, babysit. I make five bucks an hour, I'm only thirteen. Aften about seven or eight babysitting jobs I can buy any deck I want!

I think it shouldn't be banned. This is one obsticle that good players will bypass. Just stick with it,

I wasn't there when Sneasel and Slowking were banned from Modified, so this may be just me, but I have a feeling this argument's going pretty much the same way. A few people saying it's not broken at all, a few saying to just counter it, and a bunch saying it should be banned. To me, it's looking more and more like Blaziken ex may be the Gatr of this format. The card that doesn't get banned, but is at least dangerously close to needing it. Modified doesn't need a new Gatr, so if I'm right -- GET RID OF THE DARN CARD!!!

well so far I'm 5-6 against BAr with my Kabutops/EX/Espeon/Aerodatcyl EX deck.... may someone else should try it. just don't for get to use the kabuto to fill the bench and reserve your boost NRG as much as possible. Set up of this deck is fairly fast as well.

Kabutops > Amphy
Kabutops EX > Blaxe n' Blaze EX
Espeon > Blaze EX
Aero EX > Ray.

Heh. Ban the thing... heres what happened with me.

In all at Manitowoc, WI prerelease, I got 26 packs. They were from 4 different boxes.

In all I pulled four ex's.
There was 1 Raikou ex... and 3 Blaziken ex!!!!!
I will play it until it is banned. It is a wicked broken card...
