Banette vs. DP-on format

Jokerboi his list was consistant,he just didnt play it for Nats which bongles the mind. he went 6-2 in the side events with it beating empoleon and beating magmortar, how much more consistant could it be since he won against his hardest matchups??

I havent seen ure list, its gotta be good even tho you won florida states, you have to give credit to the meta you played, his list was probably the best there Im pretty sure. You didnt play Banette which confuses me??

Actually, the meta has nothing to do with it. I didn't go into Florida states just playing banette because I thought it was consistent I went in because I knew it was going to win. The meta is never to be given credit. His list was the best where? Not better than mine! I didn't play banette at Nationals because it simply was not the play. To add, banette was not even that popular until after I won states with it.

OK you won states, but ~`Flygon`~ was playing Banette during cities when it was first released(ask the Silverstros and Currys). Ok it got popular not because you won with it,it got popular because it was the best GG counter out there. Your good, but you won because of how many GGs you played. You played 6 GGs in Swiss and 3 in the finals??How could you not have won that states. Your meta effects how your deck does and your report shows prime examples of that. Im not denying your skillz, but lets be real,if you wouldve played 6 Magmortars, you wouldnt have done so well.

At Nats, his list was really good and really consistant. Its my opinion,I think it was,you sure didnt argue about it when he said it was the best list there when you were around. So i thought you agreed also.

What are we arguing about all of the sudden? I thought this thread was about Banette in the next format not Banette lists, how consistant they are, or who won what with them, please try to stay on topic

As i keep testing with new decks for next format (including a Banette list) I don't think Banette is down for the count, HOWEVER, it takes a huge hit from the cards that it loses this format.

No argument,it was a discussion about Banette currently now and b4 hand. We are but we were saying the basis for what we said in the first few posts. We are on topic, were discussing ALSO the effect it had now and then :)

I didn't argue because I did not want to come off as a jacka**. Who plays rare candy in banette! I played banette during cities as well and lost when I realized it could not handle the format and was not able to consistently drop a banette in the discard every turn. I played 5 GG in swiss one Magmar and one random. I won because I went to states with the play. There were other banettes being played that day I won as well so...How could they not win? True, the meta does effect it but if you are playing the deck that can dominate your meta then I don't see why one should blame the meta. If I had played 6 magmortars I would not had played banette in the first place, I knew the FL meta played GG so therefore I played banette.

To stay on topic:
The only thing thats hurts is loss of shuppet CG. If your banette plays DRE, Felicity's, Cess, or Celio's then its not good in the first place. TVR is kind of sad as well, with that said shuppet CG basically made the deck now you have to waste a valuble Bebe's on searching for banette causing you to lack in consistentcy.

Unless they reprint a new card that might be like wally's training then banette may still have a chance.

Yea like a T1 Banette is bad,he played candy because of the tech he used to handle the empoleon matchup(dusknoir) which helped him. Yea other nettes were played, but I dont think they played as manyGG as you. Im not blaming your meta,IM saying you won because of your meta,He played Banette and toped with it at Cities when they meta was partly GG and when Magmortar and Blissey with resis killer in it and still did well. Magmortar was there, only way u couldve won was cuz of time or u got a donk, and how did u beat twitch??Time,u knew FL meta played GG??Everyone was playing GG,u just made a good prediction and got lucky for pairings. His list is better than yours from cities til now.Not a argument cuz its nothing to argue about.

ON topic, just attach a TM1 to shuppet after you go second and thats your ascension.but Banette being good since GG will be reduced tho and Kingdra bein able to have nearly the same speed as it with more HP makes it less appealing.
