Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

BCS-Wire Time!!!

Ohio State has a fairly good chance =\

K, Kansas or Mizzou is gone instantly. So 3 teams in front. Let's say Mizzou/Kansas loses to Oklahoma (very likely actually), OSU is now 3rd. They could move past WVU if they lose or simply get outranked due to schedule toughness.

Again, two teams out of Oklahoma, Kansas, and Mizzu have to lose at least once before the end of the season. Depending on the margin of victory of a couple of other teams, the team that doesn't lose between those three will be in the National Championship game.

LSU is simple. Win and you're in.

If LSU loses, then we've got a scrum for the other spot going on. WV would be the most obvious choice, but if they falter (lose or win too close) then Ohio State has a shot of getting in. The only team below Ohio State that could get into the National Championship game without massive blowouts is Oklahoma. Zona St, Georgia, VT, and Oregon all need to blow out their remaining opponents in order to get in, plus need a LOT of help from LSU and WV.

I'm cheering for Ohio to get into the National Championship game. If they do, then Illinois will go to the Rose Bowl as the 2nd place team in the Big Ten, despite a pathetic loss early in the season.

This is the thing about alot of these teams like Oregon and OU. They play win because of 1 player, when hes done then the team is done. I thought this seperated good from the bad also, this is why LSU has been at the top all year or most of the year, its not totally dependent on 1 player, Kansas I guess you could say is the same way, but Kansas and Mouz play in scrub conference, if they played a good offense they would get beat.

THis is such an Ignorant post. The SEC is NOT that great. LSU is NOT that great. If they'd destroy anyone they play, how come the lost to Kentuckey? How come Ole Miss played with them for awhile?

in Triple OT They lost Kentucky.

Ole Miss never came close to beating LSU.

But name an SEC Champion thats went to the NC game destroying everyone in the conference, you wont find one, not even Floridas wins last season when they went to the NC game.

yo vegeta, kansas is a 2 pt favorite over mizz. kansas is the most powerful offense and the least penalized team in the big 12.

i dont think the jayhawks are gonna lose this weekend. but mizzou aint no suckers either.

i'm telling you. its gonna be the game of the year. nov 24. 5pm est. practically the rose bowl already.

i dont think ppl are actually watching the football games if they think KU is a fluke. mark mangino is coaching good fundamentals over there in lawrence. i've been following them real closely this year since i moved to kansas. and i'm telling you they're the real deal. and some of these radio disc jockeys with their call in shows are infinitely annoying me when they put down KU football.

ku over mizzou. and ku over oklahoma. i'm calling it.

Not exactly. If Oklahoma beats the Kansas/Mizzou winner, none of the 3 will go to the champ. game. Leaving it down to LSU, OSU, and WVU. Very unpredictable.

They still lost. I dont care if its in regulation, or in 16 OT's, they lost to a team. I didnt say Ole Miss came close to beating them either. I said for the first half or so, they played with them.

Also, besides 'beating' up on each other, show me PROOF that they are the best Conference in the NCAA, cause not one of the teams that are in contention for the SEC Championship beat a GOOD team in OOC except LSU beating a sketchy VTech team.

Alright, lets look to the past for a second.

Four years ago LSU was playing against Oklahoma for the national title. See the score: 28-14. 1 year later Auburn comes UNDEFEATED the whole season and gets knocked out of the BCS Bowl to other teams (the point is being undefeated though). Florida wins the national title then two years later against Ohio State in a whopping loss that made people think a bit differently about the BCS. The same year LSU played Notre Dame and creamed them.

Yeah, the BCS is a sinking ship. But that's beside the point.

This year almost every team there has seen at least a week in the top 25. This excludes Vanderbilt, Old Miss, and MS State. Anybody can beat anybody in the SEC, demonstrated by MS beating Auburn, Vandy coming close on TN, and Kentucky beating LSU in triple OT. LSU even had a chance to win with a last second field goal, but it missed.

Oregon just lost to Arizona, USC to Stanford, WV to Appalachian State, Missouri to Oklahoma, Oklahoma to Texas Tech, LSU to Kentucky, and Ohio State to Illinois.

The only not embarassing losses are Missouri's, Ohio State's, and LSU's (all three are pretty good teams). Two in the Big 12 and one in the SEC. Also take a look at Georgia, and see that they are on a roll.

Notice how the SEC seems to stand out?

Ummm...

Ohio State is in the Big 10...

Which is why I'm praying for them to make the National Championship game...

Cuz then the Illini will make the Rose Bowl...

Cuz the Rose Bowl likes Big Ten vs Pac Ten...

Do you have any idea what you are talking about?

Michigan holds tiebreakers on Illinois and every other 2 loss big ten team for that matter. On the off chance that Ohio State makes it back to the national championship game Michigan would be the big ten representative in the Rose Bowl.

However, it's not always promised that the Rose Bowl is a Pac 10 vs. Big 10 team. They just prefer it that way. If Ohio State were to make it back to the National Championship Game I highly doubt that Michigan would be playing in the Rose Bowl being an unranked team and someone else(West Virgina, The loser of Missouri/Kansas etc.) would be more likely to be in the rosebowl.

As I can't agree with you on the outcome of the game, I can agree that this is the biggest game of the year. Only a complete moron would disagree. It is also one of the big rivalries in college sports, this game has sooo many implications. In fact, I heard on ESPN radio thingy that this in there opinion is the national title. This game is expected to be the most watch regular season football game in the past 5 years. All I know is, this isn't just the border war, this is the national title game. Lsu is a good team but everyone hypes the SEC for some reason, they are good but vastly overated.

Doc. KU hasn't played a decent defense this year, Mizzou has played 4 good defenses. Mizzou is going through a couple injuries right now, so our wide receivers aren't fully healthy.

The SEC is the deepest conference out there and one of the reasons why they've won so many national championships. LSU can go down to anyone in that conference in a blink of an eye. Does that mean they are bad? No. It means that the conference has so much depth in all of its schools that all its teams are competitive and dominate non conference matchups. If Ohio gets the national bid then Michigan would get into the rose bowl because of the tie breaker but realistically, I wouldn't want a team on a 2 game losing streak playing in the most well known bowl of them all.

National Championship Will Be Mizzou Vs. LSU, IMO
#2 Spot Has Had Such Bad Luck This Year, and Besides That, Mizzou, again, IMO, Is A Better Team Than Kansas... MIZZOU over Kansas, Then Over OU

LSU Should Be Able 2 Beat Both Arkansas and Georgia, But I Think Georgia Will Be A Tough Game...
If Georgia Wins, We Should Be Seeing WV vs Kansas

It is also very possible, based on the way BCS gathers its data, that Missouri can be #1 ranked after next week. The way I see it is, if Missouri somehow wins by 40 points or so, we will be the #1 ranked team in the nation in BCS, ap and other polls will have us at #2. BCS gathers it's ranking info from strength of opponents and how bad you beat them, that just part of how BCS standing system works.
By the way, if it is WV vs Kansas, I will feel sooo sorry for WV because they will get thrashed by 30+ points!!!!

Yeah, KU would Destroy WV
WV is so overrated...
They're in the Big East... They Really Havent Played Anyone... They Dont Deserve 2 Be #3

I Hate The BCS... Playoffs Have Always Been The Way To Go... I Dont See Why Its That Hard Stop Using The BCS System... It Doesnt Work

I am torn between whether or not to have playoffs are not. In a way I think there should be playoffs, so that the BCS(which isn't the right system for National Title) wouldn't ruin good teams. But, there is also the fact of injuries that may occur. With the added games, the players body will be taking a beating. Many teams will use the excuse that such and such team lost because there player were hurt, and that is just pathetic. I am more in favor for playoffs but, only if it is the top 4 teams in the nation that do it!!!

only way I ever see a playoff implemented is if they lesser the regular season games to about 8 then top 6-8 go into a playoff.

The 1st round determines such and such bowl and so until the final 2.

Olay Vegetales, if you want to have a good point you have to stop backing your team and state the reality. Mizzou will not beat Kansas by 40 points. They will not leap LSU because they will be playing in that week. The only reason why LSU hopped USC was because USC had a bye week and LSU won giving them the ranking. Oklahoma will be the spoiler in the Big 12 Championship, whether it's Kansas or Missouri. It's gone be mentally and physically challenging for those two teams to go back to back against top 10 teams. West Virginia has the offense, no doubt about that but like most Big East teams, their defenses aren't up to pace with their offenses. So if you get a team with a good defense then WVU is done for. They wouldn't make for a good national championship game, but possibly a good match in the Orange Bowl. If Missouri makes it to the Big 12 championship then a good coached team like Oklahoma with Stoopes will find the way again to defeat Missouri.
