Bleach: Best Anime?

Well, I do like Bleach, but Best Anime? No. Granted, it's a pretty good anime, and entertaining, but there are better ones out there.

I liked Bleach bck when it was called YuYu Hakusho... I liked YuYu Hakusho back when it was called Dragonball Z. Unfortunately shonen anime needs a revamp. Sure they have new storylines, but they all have the same themes.

Oh, Snap! Vegeta!

That was funny.

The problem is, shonen anime is shonen anime. There are always going to be 8-12 year old kids who like epic fights with swords and awesome attacks and the like. Therefore, the shonen we have now will probably continue to exist for the near future at least. Plus, how can you change the definition of shonen anime, with a young guy who discovers powers he didn't have/gets them/whatever and then goes on to fight bigger and badder villains without it becoming a new genre altogether. Shonen is practically defined as DBZ/Naruto/Bleach/YuYu Hakusho. Deviate from that pattern, and its really not shonen anymore.

Dunno. Is Kenshin considered shonen? Cuz that definitely doesn't follow the formula...

well i watch death note it was real good might get it on dvd

While I like Deathnote, I prefer its live-action adaptations (Death Note I, II, and III). While *SPOILER ALERT* L doesn't die until the second movie *END SPOILER ALERT*, it manages to condense the entire plot of the show (sans that particular event) into a film that is surprisingly entertaining and well written. It is the only live-action adaptation of an anime (or anime concept) that I have found myself capable of enjoying (and, at that, more than the original piece).

Even with its artwork, compelling story, and amazing concept, the Death Note anime lost my interest after the *SPOILER AGAIN* death of L *ARE YOU REALLY SURPRISED?*.

Not sure about the anime (are there fillers, probably not) for Death Note, but the manga was absolutely amazing. I liked it just as much after L died. I thought it was still very well done. The **SPOILER ALERT** kidnapping of Sayu and the head of the NPA was kind of boring, though.

bleach is awsome, i hated the bount arc it was so boring i skipped most of those episodes but it got

awsome again when the visards appear. Shinji is my favaroite charcter

and Orihme probably has the sickest anime power ive ever heard she has the power to reject fate,

who cares if she cant fight she can go against god basically lol

Its a good show, but the Best Anime is Cowboy Bebop. It was voted to be the best of all time and Bleach has nothing on Bebop.

Stating this is just asking for waves and waves of Outlaw Star fanboys to come from the depths and attack the statement.

I personally do not believe in a 'best' Anime. There are only good anime and bad anime. That is that. The 'best' Anime is in the eye of the beholder, and it is such a broad genre of animation (encompassing both Asia and Europe, if you wish to be technical) that there's quite a lot to observe. So it's really 'Anime A is better than Anime B', but only to the point of personal preference.
