Bad business for who though? Their goal isn't to cater to those who are smart enough to game the system. It's about buying a pack and being happy when and if you pull something good, not playing a game of statistics and predicting when you'll pull something good.
The pack is still what it always was. A chance to pull a great card in the midst of mediocre cards. The only difference now is that the odds are now even for everyone again (until some code is once again broken).
