Call of Duty 5: World at War

Everyone I play with hates Cliffside and Makin, and we almost always vote for another. My personal favorite is the Dome. Especially in team, b/c it's so fun to snipe.
 
Favorite map is Outskirts, especially with war. I love sitting up in that cathedral and sniping.
 
The reason i hate Dome is theres a 70% your getting spawn killed which is really stupid. I just camp one side of dome and pick everyone off. Sitting in the Cathedral is an obvious spot which makes it not too great of a sniping spot, because there will always be someone looking up there for a free easy kill.

Haven't seen Outskirts before. Is that available only on other systems, or does it need to be unlocked? (I haven't really played campaign much, too addicted to the online play, y'know.:biggrin:)
 
It's an online map...I'm pretty sure all systems have it.

And although a lot of people now to look up there I still love the spot when not many people know to look up there or they are distracted (like with war). I played a game when everyone kept running to the church and they all ran out into the open and I kept picking them off lol.
 
Well is it technically called "Outskirts"? I looked on the maps list and I didn't see one called Outskirts. Weird. I need to check GameFAQs for this one....

EDIT: Oh wait, I think I know the one you mean, Is it like a town thats been destroyed by the fighting? On the Wii, it's called "Upheaval". I guess the map name varies with the systems....
 
Nah dude those are two different maps. Outskirts and Upheaval. Most of the towns are destroyed by fighting anyway lol.
 
Okay cause there's a small Cathedral in Upheaval that you can snipe people from. Do you have to unlock Outskirts? I haven't barely played the campaign at all, so maybe that's it.
 
It may be old news, but COD6 is developed by Infinity Ward. From the way it looks, I think the develppers will shift between games. (Treyarch doing the odd COD games, and Infinity Ward doing the Even COD Games, if you know what I mean).
 
Yeah, that's what I figured. Did you hear anything about what it's going to be? I heard rumors that it was going to be sci-fi and set in the future.

Well, my comment is something that every unaware Wii360 consumer needs to know.

On topic, I'm actually enjoying my time on CoD4 now. Most of the annoying little kids have left, so I'm more likely to run into a skilled, semi-mature group of players.
 
uhhhhhhhh, after thinking "Well, It'll be alright, I'll just rent it.." I now think "OMG OMG OMG YOU GET A LAZER GUN I'MA GO BUY 12 COPIES".
