Thanks for the advice BJJ763. I'm not sure I would go so far as to encourage players to drop (or concede/ID). However, I might encourage them to play "fun" decks. I don't want to have even the slightest appearance of collusion (ie., my stronger players, who won CCs, conceding and/or ID'ing to my weaker players so they can win the CC). Since I'll be helping judge the Littleton CC, I can't really encourage my players to drop/concede/ID to afford others to win the CC. That has the appearance of Collusion, in my book. But, I CAN encourage them to play less-competitive decks.
I've done almost a 180 on my earlier oppinion that CC champs shouldn't play in later CCs. I like JohnnyBlaze's idea of playing different decks, or my idea of playing "fun" weaker decks. I'll leave it up to the players to make "game-time" decisions on whether to drop/concede/ID.
