Classic WOTC Redshark tournament!

kepp what other? haymaker? I had that banned but someone said I was dumb for it.

Nononono, no offense, I don't mean it isn't viable, it just isn't viable on redshark. Too many people disagreed with my rules.

but what i'm saying is to keep both so there is more than one good deck in the format

having Sneasel Slowking vs Haymakr is better than just having sloking sneasel OR Haymaker vs. itself
 
well sneasel/slowking is still wayyy better than haymaker. By far, Haymaker was never BANNED.
I just didn't know if Haymaker was as avid a deck when neo was out...
 
There are alot more decks availible then Haymaker and Sneasle...
these are all the pokemon EVER! ALL SETS!

Be creative with your deck ideas theres well over 10000 cards to choose from! If a haymaker deck wins this tournament I'd be quite surprised!
 
If you want my opinion, keep the tournament as unlimited, and keep it unlimited! It'd allow players to be creative with their decks and enjoy the possibility of unlimited-ness.
Adding rules and restrictions will only disincourage more players from joining.

Then BlastyEX/Espeon/Foretress would auto win the tourney.
 
There is no such thing as an auto win in this format. If you think its the best deck, go ahead and play it, prove me wrong. Without any bans, theres going to be alot of decks, and alot of luck........IF by some chance, Blasty/Espeon/Foretress (a deck I've never heard of) is the only deck played, and completly devours everything....theres two options, either make a counter to it, or play it, banning cards just ruins the game. IMO
 
uhhh but then it sort of defeats the purpose of classic wotc... it isn't unlimited, it is purposely old cards. I'm not banning new cards, it is just an entirely different format.

It's almost completely unbeatable. It wins turn one. Your only hope would be to play straight Muk with a ton of rare candy. Even then whoever goes first wins, it's not very fun.

Since you've never heard of it, I'll explain the strategy. Play two energy a 4 Candy 4 Pokemon Breeder 3-2-3 Blasty EX 2-2 Espeon and 2-2 Foretress and the fastest trainers you can think of. Then, you setup turn one and use Blasty's power to attach an energy to foretress, activating it's power then you use espeon to return the energy to your hand and do it again until you win.
 
There are a bunch of flaws in that deck. You can only use the power 8 times as a single fortress, as the 9th energy rain will KO it. 2nd, once you flip 4 tails, espeon will be ko'd. And the fact that you need a coin flip in order to damage keeps it unreliable.
Sure it has the potential of being a great deck, but like you said your self there are counters to it.

By the same logic, I could play Rhyperior with 4 rare candy 4 pokemon breader 4 mr brineys 4 scoop up 4 mr fuji, and simply deck you out before you get a turn.

would not win the tourney
you think the deck is better than it actually is
there are sooo many better decks that are better than it in unlimited right now
its probably only the 4th or 5th best deck in unliited right now
