or maybe you're wrong! XD

dice>coin

pokemon is born with "coin flpping" for fun.

in a competition flipping should not be allowed...

that's my perosnal opinion...

Hmm... IMHO.. everyone that received the PLayers rewards received Coins.. could this be a revelation to the Questions as to what they are going to want Players to use?? Could it be that all competitive players that are signed up received 2 Coins this time around?? You dont think.. no.. maybe.. no way.. could it be they PLANNED AHEAD for this?? Is it possible... could it be a SIGN of things to come?? Could it be to encourage "Spirit of the Game" to SHARE.. whoa now... easy boy.. not SHARING... calm down Meches old boy... .. is that allowed in Pokemon anymore... :pokeball: helping one another out with the EXTRA COIN we received. Nope.. too Easy!!

Coins.. there not just for drinking games anymore!!

6-sided dice or coins...neither makes much difference. I never liked using dice for the damage counters, though. Too easy to hit one with either dice or a flipped coin (and thereby change the number). I always liked the damage conters for counting damage. You don't have to put them squarely on the card, and they don't go far when hit by a flying coin. The original small ones are getting harder and harder to find, too.

Rock, Paper, Scissors
Maybe its been suggested and rejected but it can work so I will ask for it again. It ends cheating once and for all because it requires both players participation. But you don't use hands, each player has 3 cards and you choose a Rock, Paper or Scissors card. Then both players reveal their card at the same time and the winner gets to choose. It is truely 50/50 and provides exactly the amount of luck that you all seem to prefer. I know Pokemon could do some truely great stuff with simple Rock, Paper, Scissors too. Earthquake-type Rock, Scyther on a Scissors card, Reverse Holo Paper, I'm saying whatever comes to mind. I'm sure the guys who get paid to create cards can handle something so simple. They could be easily distributed in Theme Decks, the way energy is and special versions could be inserted in random packs just like everything else.

I know their are some people out there who could play T2 Dusclops SS and win tournaments with ease as long as nobody complained to a judge. Then again, if the coin is flipping enough and it isn't weighted, the judge would be questioned for stepping in. The fact that we have this problem sickens me. People need to just play the game and let things handle themselves.

Life or death flippy cards shouldn't be in the game but that's for another day.

Believe it or not, this exact system (as Jan-Ken-Pon) was used in the Sailor Moon CCG!

Good, so we've got a historical basis for this idea. I don't see what's holding us back at this point. Its a simple game and should require almost no transition time and little chaos.

I officially submit my idea to PUI. Giddiup.

Personally i think that the "Theme deck coins" are weighted and "unfair" if my opponent is trying to flip with them i will ask them if they minds flipping a quarter instead cause i will have a serious problem with the "Theme Deck" Coins... Just a personal prefrence. Just Like if they have a problem with dice i wont flip the theme deck coins cause i feel they can be weighted...

we've been here before.

regardless of wheather the PUI theme deck coins are actually biased the floor rules state that they are to be considered as fair.

Hints for the paranoid:
Coins:
Have them swith hands for the flipping.
Dice rolls: Make sure the person "shakes" the dice in their hand, not place the dice in there hand and roll the dice out of it.
Both: Feel free to use there coin or dice.

IDK if _any_ coin holds priority to _any_ die, so much as POP-coins. POP coins are the only fully-legal coins, so technically, if your opponent is flipping quarters or old POP coins, can't you force them into a POP coin?

Don't care personally, except for 10-under, where flipping a coin can be a major ordeal.

Bring back the Heads/Tails dice for 10-under.

Those were Awesome!!!

I was at a STS in San Diego a couple years ago and got a thing called electro flip. it is a circular device and you press a button and a light turns on for either heads, or tails after pressing it. is that legal? it is on no patter and i was allowed to use it in the WOTC days

Do remember, the judge can at any time make a coin or dice illegal. For example, at the eastern regionals, it was ruled that the pop coin with the rayquaza on it was illegal to use in the tournament.

Don't expect that to happen at Worlds.
