Coins Or Dice

Do remember, the judge can at any time make a coin or dice illegal. For example, at the eastern regionals, it was ruled that the pop coin with the rayquaza on it was illegal to use in the tournament.

You are correct, Sir Prime Time! The HJ sat down pre tourney, flipped it several times and when it came up 75-80 % heads...he said "no way jose"

" Say Word?"...how many times did he flip it??? and if they allow this coin at worlds imma go get a deoxys(rayquaza) theme deck...

Feraligatr and Sensei flipped it enough to think it might be a bit too lucky, ergo, no one got to use it in the Regional. Look, there are lots of coins and die out there to use.

i think that if a coin is used, at least 3 rotations, like the rules say. Dice, i think should have a like a shaker cup or something of that sort, you cover the top with your hand, shake it up and down a couple times, then spill the die/dice out, something to think about here...

Those were Awesome!!!

I was at a STS in San Diego a couple years ago and got a thing called electro flip. it is a circular device and you press a button and a light turns on for either heads, or tails after pressing it. is that legal? it is on no patter and i was allowed to use it in the WOTC days

Didn't Electroflips get banned by WotC after someone either was found to have a rigged one, or at least found a way to rig one?

so what did they use

So at worlds...did they gowith the coins or the dice?
did anyone have a problem with it???

@ Worlds and the Grinder, the staff passed out 1 clear aquamarine blue d6 to each table. All those that chose to roll vs. flip HAD to us that die only. You only used your own die for damage counters. I think they ruled that if someone wanted to flip, that ruled vs. rolling a die to determine starting a game.

They were left on the table so the next round would have them. I do know that a few seem to disappear bc the judges kept a few extra in their lab coats to pass out. Dunno what happened at the end of rd 8 though, prolly all scooped up by the staff and given back to POP.
