Ace specs were vital to our meta-game--regardless of the generation change. Don't fix a good thing.

I disagree...I'm looking forward to it. It's a guaranteed search for an evolution (supplementing or replacing Level/Heavy/Ultra balls), and it circumvents Archeops' ability (minor benefit). It may boost consistency of certain Stage 2's, which may start reducing reliance on Rare Candy and instead begin to include more Stage 1.

You could also say this one or two or three years for now. If so, Ace Specs would never leave the game.
 
Evolutionary Soda would be helpful in decks like Blastoise and Rayboar, the versions that run a 1 of techs of the stage 1. Prof''s letter would also be good in Blastoise and Rayboar. I think the cards in this set improve decks.

I could--and should-- say this years from now, and your point is? Like I said, don't mess with a good thing...
 
My point is, people expect it to rotate at some point or another. Your argument would never have them rotate. Are you simply suggesting that Ace Specs should exist as a standard game mechanic forever?
 
That's actually a good question. There were two box-purchase promos for X/Y in Japan this time, and they can't just give us Noivern since Noibat isn't otherwise in the set and thus Noivern would be unusable unless they put Noibat in the set or there's another Noibat in a deck that gets included in our set. (That was a pretty disgusting run-on sentence... Oh well.) I'll laugh if we get 2 promos.

There wasn't ever any real reason or support for the promo to be Dedenne or Garchomp-EX. They were part of a four card promotion for spending a set amount of money on card products (not even needing to be XY stuff). I have no idea how this awkward rumor got started, as this isn't even the first place I've heard people talk about Dedenne or Garchomp-EX in this way
 
Anyone get a good look at the theme decks coming out (Xerneas and Yveltal)? Very nice, actually have some good cards in them.

Fairies get a real nice stadium, and darks get one too.

Planning on making a fairy deck with the release of these new packs. I think fairies will be very very nice.
 
yeah the two new stadiums are very interesting, not sure if the dark type one will see much use there's not much fighting type in the meta atm so darkrai decks are better running virbank. the fairy one on the other hand adds more options for the new fairy decks.

shauna should see some play I think as well, replacing Bianca and maybe N in some decks
