Counterproposal: Errata Blaziken ex

Meh...

It's pretty clear to me that an errata will not happen, and that even if it did it would have little effect unless the whole idea of doing 100 to the bench was written out of it.

As for a counter... they exist, but they will still lose more often than not. And that's just against Blaze... other stuff will just RIP the counters to shreds.

Thousands and thousand wasted on this card...sad really. Well, I stay STOP GRIPING. Everyone is forgetting that most people arent going to run more than one blaziken ex in their deck. This thing wont be banned because It has a ton of weaknesses. For one thing, we have pokemon like espeon and suiciune ex that can kill this things in one his claiming TWO prizes, or better yet knocking off the other fire pokemon which are necessities of a fire deck. If you stop them from getting out many blaziken or amphys, there is no chance of ever getting out blaziken ex. Bottom line, leave this card alone. The card itself isnt broken, the complex strategy involed with it is what your all complaining about. Getting out blaziken EX is a painstaking strategy hard to do correctly. None of you are ever going to see this banned. My opinion is that we should go the the japanese way of having a restriced list but that is a whole nother story...

restricted, IMO, is a double edged sword. We don't want to be like YGO, with about 70 restricted cards b/c they're too powerful for actual use. With that said, I think that the ex's should have some type of text on the card that states that a player can't have more than 2 of that particular ex in his or her deck, mostly b/c all of the ex's that are worth using absolutely wipe the floor with all the "normal" Pokemon.

The 'problem' is that Blazipest EX is very effective "tech" as just a single card in a BAR deck. Without BAR for it to drop into so easily we would not be having this discussion. The card would still be yeuch: I mean 100 to anything :( , what were they thinking! but not a real threat to the environment. JMHO

Every time that there is A solid deck that seems to be a top competitor, there is an uproar in people asking it to be banned. First it was Sneasel, then Feraligatr, now Blaziken. No matter what the format is, there is going to be a dominant deck. I do admit, Blaziken is overpowered, but just let the format take it's course.

You forget Ryan, that the restricted list is what keeps yugioh going though. Its an effective method. Everyone isnt complaining about blaziken EX, they are complaining about BAR, martin is right.

even so, currently no more than half of the decks are Blaze themed. I tend to think that it's about 1/3 Blaze, 1/3 Gardy/Gex (extremely powerful in its own right), and 1/3 Rogue (well built, includes anything without Blaze, Gardy, or Gex.

It doesn't really matter to me. I espect to see a tops of 4 or 5 BlaziEX decks at States and am not too worried about it. I may just play it myself as well! ;)

Also, there ARE too many TeChs out there and available to us that this card won't be as much of a problem as first anticipated. And it is a VERY hard task to even pull out BlaziEX in the first place. One per deck... 7/60 of a chance of pulling in opening hand, if not... 6/53 of putting in prizes, and the chances of pulling it then increase if its not in your opening hand or prizes. 1/53, 1/52, 1/51, etc. is a very low chance of even pulling the card. Of course, with search cards and draw mechanics you can pull it faster. ;)

The risk of it being in the prizes is real (but many people will play two of them). You cannot have seen a proper Blaziken deck if you think it is hard to find it in the deck. The risky part in Blaziken decks is getting the Delcatty up, once you have Delcatty getting other cards is fairly simply when you also play four Oracles.
