Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

DF deck boxes have not arrived

Nah, nah, please no Worlds' giveout.

just make them league promos, or something.
They weren't meant to be free anyway, don't make people pay for them later.

My idea is better.

Dang yo,

That is horrible news...I can't believe that the manufacturing company screwed up on this...hope it works out Pete. Too bad we don't get the boxes in the end...keep us informed when you guys figure it out.

CMT

Neither at this point...its not as easy to change at this point as you might think.

people are going to be upset if they have to pay the same amount of money for less product...thats common sense

BAH!!! consider yourselves lucky..........here in OZ........

at the Holon Phantoms one we didnt get deckboxes, we didnt get pins, we didnt even get the prerealse card, AND we only got the 8 boosters instead of the original 10 :( and the winner didnt get extrea prizes, I.E. an extra 6 boosters for winning.....

at the Crystal Guardians one, we got our boxes, we got our pins, we got 8 boosters though.......but no extra prizes

and, there is A 80% chance we wont even have the dragon frontiers pre-release, dont complain, you Americans have it better than the rest of the world.

indeed. also the DS and UF ones have the same problem as the HP one....ya fault at distributor. but we got our UF stuff over a year later.

So, that means we should just take this?

Yeah, right.

DF = worst pre ever.

They took an awesome set....and screwed it over. Nice job.

And I thought we are the unlucky ones (sorry my friend about your pre on Holon Phantoms). It is too bad there are no deckboxes this pre-release. Anyway hopefully for a good replacement item before our pre-relase is launched on November 5.

You are right for the most part. Not everyone will mind that much though. I hope most people will still go and enjoy the spirit of the event and just have fun.

Its a PRERELEASE...a chance to come and play and get SOME of the cards early. Everyone is STILL receiving the same number of cards they were going to receive.

The $20 fee is not just for the new cards (which you still get a a cheaper rate than retail), but the opportunity to play and TRADE with others who might happen to get those cards you need for cities...which start 2 weeks later.

I am fortunate that the store I run my events at also allows me to to give away store gift certificates and other items during the Prerelease to generate business for them. Not everyone gets these other items but we still have fun.

Sorry you feel this way...why not go and just enjoy the event. You will still be getting the same number of packs as advertised....and get to try out the newest stuff

or

you could just stay home...miss out on booster packs at a cheaper price and not be around people who have opened up hundreds of total packs and might have those "cards" you desperately need to trade for your cities deck

This requires a "What are you smoking?"
I ain't gonna pay to stand around and trade with others.
This is Pokemon, not the stock market.

However, I completely agree with this.

"Oh, I want more packs cuz I ain't gettin no box!"
Oh?
Would you like LESS packs for $20?
Most US Pre-releases are giving (8?) for only $20, that's like $2.50 per pack.
Only place to get a deal like that is Frank and Son's, you should really be lucky.

besides, there were Pre-releases before deck boxes.
Deck box giving out barely started in LM.

Prereleases are an AWESOME trading environment. but yeah, usually you can find almost anything you need.

but yeah, 20$ is a good value for just the packs, the box is about worthless anyway. only now is it worth something due to them probably being destroyed. you want a deckbox? go support your local gaming shop, buy a deckbox, or buy one from darktwins if you want a pokemon themed one.

but yeah, you have to realize, that hundreds of packs will be opened. so say if you need 4 flygon or dragonite d ex. Prerelease is where you'll be able to aquire them via trade in one day.

I'm sorry, but I can't believe all the whining about the lack of deckboxes from so many people. First, You can bet POP is not exactly happy about them not arriving in time either, and hearing some people make such a huge deal doesn't help I'm sure. And second, some people seem to be so caught up in the "what's in it for me" to remember that they're still getting a great deal on the cards, they're still getting them before they're even released, and and the whole idea of a Prerelease is to have a fun event to get a sneak peak before they come out... They don't 'owe it to us' to hold Prereleases. I guess it boils down to the difference between those who come to the Prereleases because they really enjoy them because they're a lot of fun, and those who's main objective is to get the most bang for their buck.

Ya, sure, the deckboxes didn't arrive and that's unfortunate... unexpected things like this happen in life, and it's just a matter of how you deal with it. In the big picture it's really not that big a deal, and you can bet that we're still going to have a great time at OUR Prerelease regardless!

^I agree, but some people's deck boxes break and then they want new ones.Like mine, the velcro fell off. :frown::frown:

if you think this prerelease is bad, look at the yugioh one coming up. its $20 for 6 boosters and a shiny version of a common in that set....
since this will be my first prerelease for pokemon, i dont have any expectations. from what every one is saying about previous prereleases, i feel that we owe NOA for all the free stuff.
