Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Do people ACTUALLY test strategy on Redshark?

I haven't ever managed to get Redshark to work online, but if I ever figure it out I'll be sure to let you know.

I haven't heard of anyone cheating on Redshark, and there would be no point. The idea is to test decks, you can't get a good idea of how well a deck works if you don't play it in practice the way you would play it in a tournament.

Anyway, it was WAY WAY easier than I had imagined. The thing is ... you need to download Hamachi and, then, run RedShark. Hamachi let's your computer connect with others.

"Unnecessary cheating"

I found that hilarious.

Sad actually... read above quote...

this thread tempted me to boot up redshark and give it another try. i played it solitaire style, and i do have to agree with others about the lack of randomization of cards. it was pretty obvious after just 6 rounds. that's too bad. i'll give it another chance, but if the randomization algorithm is broken, there's no point in using this.

Dude...
NOBODY HERE has a computer perfect "RANDOMIZED" shuffle in person...
The shuffle is fine.
Play or don't... lol.. it's Pokemon .. not Texas Hold'em

Screw redshark and apprentice, use Lackey.

Sorry to correct your spelling, but in case anyone wants to down load it, the program is called Hamachi.
Not, Himachi.

how does hamachi actualy work
does it make you switch to redshark or something

Joined your network under the name LegoMan.

YOU DA MAN Lugia!

Thanks!

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

No. You just have to have BOTH programs running. That's it.

It's like having Instant Messenger on. You can chat and see who's on.
Hamachi creates a communcation link between computers so you can share screen (see the Redshark table at the same time)

I will download the new version of Redshark and the Hamachi program. I have lots of ideas I would love to test. When are most folks on? I am East Coast. Does anyone have Ventrillo or any other voice software programs?

A good number of people signed on to my Network (WHICH IS AWESOME.. THANKS GUYS!!)

So.. if you just log on, you almost always find at least ONE person waiting for a game!

Why not, I'll join the network

All the Cool people are doin' it

14 new members since last night... AT LEAST one game goin' on everytime I log on to check ..

AWESOME !!

BTW .. you have GOT to test against Gengar... that's NOT a deck you want to play against for the first time at Cities.. !!

Um, Lackey has FULL card images, is not stringent on rules, doesn't require Hamachi, and doesn't glitch at all like Redshark does, not to mention you can use it for multiple card games?

I'd say it's better.

I bet its fun playing against the one other guy who uses it.

Yeah it's INSANE!! I just tested with it for the first time the other night( With RA.)
It's seriously GOOD!!

I'm starting an EX series RS tournament. If anyone's interested I'll put a link to the thread in my sig as soon as I post it.

Lol bronzing beats up gengar but anyway I have rs but don't use it much since games take a while and I usually don't had time but I go on sometimes

I'm new to Redshark, mostly just been using it for playtesting with Solitaire mode. I have no idea how to play online against someone, but if someone is willing to take the time to help me I'm willing to learn and I'd appreciate it.

Send me a PM.

I also have AIM and Yahoo Messenger.

Actually the reverse IMHO Pika. All decks are affected equally by the shark shuffle mechanics. A consistent deck will have a better showing against that factor than a less consistent one will over several trials.

That would explain my at least 30 out of 50 game starts with my single Cresselia (1 In deck), my 15 Baltoy Starts (2) and my 5 mime or magnemite (4 Each) starts, it's sooooooooooooooooooooo random

Same back at you with Redshark? They both have failure player bases, so you need to know people in order to get any consistent amount of games in.

Uh... you're talking-out-the-side of your neck....

Hamachi has networks. You log on.. see who's sitting around (LIKE LEAGUE!) and you hit chat like "Game?" and he/she's like "sure!" and off you go...

Don't speak just to say something man...
Speak when you have something to say...

WHY DO PEOPLE GOTTA BE LIKE THAT?

Whenever someone is excited and having fun, they just want to toss in DOWNERS to bring everyone down...
I'd just prefer they not even comment with that kind of negativity.

The program is GREAT w/ Hamachi...

So... just play or don't play... but, stop trying SO HARD to speak JUST FOR ATTENTION...
