Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Does anyone watch The Avatar the Last Air bender

Man, I love this show! I was SOOOOOOO close to getting some autographs from the cast or crew or something at Comic Con--I wasn't sure who--but they closed the line right before I got there...

The line started at 5:00pm, and I got there at 5:05! And I was too late!

What's the deal--when are we getting new episodes, I can't seem to find any new episodes.

Man, this is Nickelodeon at its finest since Zim.

Speaking of which...

...At least I got to the Slave Labor Graphics booth in time for a Jhonen Vasquez autograph!

Thats why i don't like there showing the same thing over and pver and over and pver again. Why can't they can't make new episodes?:/. JJust get to the dang water nation aready.

1) The plot is too overused. Earth, wind, fire and water. *Gasp* No way!
2) Facial expressions are too overdone. Whenever Aang smells something his face stretches to proportions that are completely unrealistic, and I know this is a characteristic is anime, but trust me, when you see the stuff I'm talking about you know what I mean. It just doesn't seem to flow.
3) New episodes come out on a very infrequent basis. The next new one is coming out September 23rd, I believe, and after that it will be a while again before a new one comes out.

Other than that, it's a pretty good show. Which is to say that I'll watch it, but I'd much rather watch something like Spongebob or JN (I'm a Nickelodeon junkie, but I hate the direction the network is going in at the moment) if it's on.

Plot n.

The pattern of events or main story in a narrative or drama.

"Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water" are not a plot. WAY back in the day, these four things were thought to be the elements of which all things were composed. (As opposed to the elements that are now part of the Periodic Table of Elements) It's a common theme. I would hardly call it overused though.

Those don't annoy me very much. But that's just a matter of opinion.

But yes, the facial expressions are highly exaggerated for comedic purposes. I like it.

No argument there. Very annoying.

I think Nick is getting better at making shows. They are pulling away from Klasky-Scupo stuff! Catscratch is another highlight of Nick. I hope both these shows go far.

I saw an add for Avatar element symboled shirts. Looks neat.

Hey Arnold! was one of the best shows they had, early on. It was great because it protrayed ideal urban life. Notice how everyone can just walk around in a city, and not fear muggers and all of that stuff? Pretty interesting.

Nickelodeon has got so much momentum going on irght now, I would hate to see it come to a screeching halt by not renewing their golden shows: Avatar and Catscratch. Zim's cancellation was a big mistake, but they can preclude another grave error if they just keep the quality shows running.

And stop with the Spongebob.

zim's cancellation was good in my opinion, just beacuze it was plainly STUPID...(except for the episode where zim and the kid that knows hes an alien both became sausage people ,i ginuely laghued my pants OFF)

yea bob is kind stupid

i like avatar its a show you wouldnt expect to see on nickolodeon

EXACTLY! That's the selling point--it seems like a very un-Nickelodeon show! It is a show that can be funny, sophisticated, mysterious, deep, serious-- it can be legitimately engaging.

Nick is flooded with goofy comedies with heavily outlined characters, overly cartoony or stylized characters. Avatar just flies in the face of all of that.

I think this show can be analagous to Batman: The Animated Series, and its later non-"The Batman" iterations. That show was a cartoon, but it could have drama, real drama, as well as the expected action from a superhero cartoon. The Batman line of cartoons, ("Beyond" included, "The" excluded) is probably the best animated series the US has to offer.

That a kids' network can offer such a sophisticated show is a beautiful, remarkable thing. Nick should be proud of what it has produced, and has got to renew the series if they want to have a real accomplishment on their resumes.

And Zim was a great show. It could get a bit goofy, but on the average, it was a bold, darker series that was refreshing in that aforementioned drowning pool of bland comedies.
