Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

DP3: "Shining (in the) Darkness" Japanese Spoilers

and is it just me or will dialga & palkia lv.x be the ultimate Rogue cards EVER? Nobody will actually play them in archetypes but rogues.. woot

I can already see people complaining that they lost 30 points to some noob who flipped 4 heads with Dialga X.

-_-

Oh yeah, palkia is a double gust on a stick. XD

Play him with lots of free/cheap retreaters and 2-4 Switch and you have the Biggest Nuisance in the Format™.

At times, bangiras's translations are better than PUI's (Blastoise?)

ariados dp2 toxicroak dp2 and venemoth dp 3 sounds good to me
they atack venmoth go t osleep be poisoned have to pay more to retreat and cant evolve heck throw in a skarmory ex so they fear retreating

What the heck is all this garbage here for? Get back to the point of the thread or this will be locked real quick.

Furret L.35 – Colorless – HP90
Stage 1 – Evolves from Sentret

[.] Keen Eye: Search your deck for up to 2 cards and put them in your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward.
[C][C] Baton Pass: 40 damage. You may switch Furret with 1 of your Benched Pokemon. If you do, you may move any number of Energy from Furret to the newly switched in Pokemon.

Weakness: Fighting (+20)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

...

Explain to me how this card will NOT break the game.

Let's analyze it to show you what I mean:

HP: 90 [For a stage one. It'll be around a while.]

Keen Eye: [...Okay, did we NOT have a problem with a certain Pidgeot? First of all, this attack requires NO energy, has NO drawback and allows you to get ANY TWO CARDS YOU WANT! ...Explain to me how this card (and it's prior stage) will not be at least x2 in any competitive deck.]

Baton Pass: [Okay, so now that you've done your searching...smack 'em for 40, retreat your Furret to safety, move its energy to the heavy hitter in your deck you just readied with Keen Eye, and win the game.]

And best of all, if that wasn't good enough for you: It's colorless. Meaning ANY deck can use it!

So, let's review:

- Faster than Pidgeot. (Stage 1 > Stage 2)
- Above Average HP for a Stage 1.
- Colorless
- Search requires no energy.
- Easy way to bail it out of trouble.

So, am I completely off my rocker, or am I at least close?

-Derek

Well, 90 HP for a S1 looks to be the new "slightly above average," so it isn't all that remarkable.

Also, it's an attack. On an Evolution. You can't leave it benched and search stuff out like Pidgeot.

Personally, I think it's just average given prior cards, but who knows. It might be good in HP-DP3. maybe.

Hmm I see potential in a new deck type here, built around Salamence, Blastoise and Smeargle (SSB maybe?). It will work similar to the feared BLS!

Smeargle goes first, searches for water energies...
Build up one Blastoise and one Salamence on the Bench, use one turn and place out all your water energies. Next turn just mentor for Castform and start the butcher!

If you manage to place like 4-6 Water, you can just walk through a couple of weak pokemon for an easy win. This might work very well in the up-coming metagame.

Darkrai Lv.X and Ampharos also looks promising as deck material!

furret is broken
i want to see a 4-4 line of furret in each deck, or fingers start getting snapped

on topic, does anyone think dialga lv x's power is good?
