I really think this set will change the meta-game, but the thing is we might not see many of these cards until after Worlds which would mean we will be getting a new format to begin with.

Another thing that I noticed with some of these cards is the ability to move and get energy fairly easily. I'm just shooting in the dark here but maybe they're planning on not reprinting DRE, Scramble Energy, and some of the other cards like that. If those energy cards were not reprinted for the next format it would slow down the game, and so to make the game faster again they give more pokemon the ability to charge up faster. It's probably a stupid theory but it might be true. Who know?

I think it has to happen honestly, in order for Basics to be good. DRE and Scramble, right now, they make Basics suck to use.

Seems they're making this set this insane because they fear Omastar, what with Snowpoint Temple and all.

hmm... if that was all in one set (which we all know it won't be) that would be a VERY good set...

Personaly, i dont think we can judge gliscor, magnezon, or raquaza yet

i mean what if there are no really good lightning/fire for ray to go with. he is to flippy to go alone. And we dont know what the metagame will be like when magnezone comes out. He could be like DP 7 for all we know and the metagame makes him rly good.

Gliscor doesnt seem very good uness theres something to combo him with =\

but that could just be me

oh yeah whoever said regigigas is good... is wrong. unless i missed something which may have happened kuz im on a phone right now...

however.i think groudon and kyogre are both very good =D

Rayquaza is every bit as good as I hoped it would be. Rayqaza + that energy manipulating stadium = better than Typhlosion in a Magmortar deck. Or it could be combo'd with Electivire. Of course, this is assuming these sets intertwine.

The only cards so far that are worth mention are Magnezone Lv. X and Rhyperior Lv. X those to me are the only cards that stuck out as playable or even gamebreaking. Rayquaza is being overhyped for no reason.

I'm too old school i guess, since i really only liek the original 150 pokemon. i'm happy to just see these guys have cards!

Hitmonchan
Hitmonlee
Dragonite (<3)
Ditto
Tauros

Mewtwo X Bad?, remember when this set is out we should have Garchomp X wreaking havok and Cestation Crystal will be gone as well. I will put my Mewtwo X deck vs any of your Groudon or Rayquazza Decks anyday.

i dont know of you noticed this or not, but raquaza says flip a coin... typhy/blaze, don't...

And joker boi, raquaza...yeah. he is over hyped but he is still very interesting. a non ex (obviously) that self charges and says boom, 150, unless you wailord/rhyperior lvlx (which i say blows) you dead.

It's such an odd feeling to have sets that you're looking forward to coming out for some reason, lol. Most of the cards so far in DP5 are quite awesome (except Regigigas, he's nerfed here as he is in-game).

Mewtwo LVX + Snowpoint Temple = A Basic X with 140 HP and invulnerability to basics. How is that bad?

The one card which looks insane to me at the moment is Mewtwo Lv.X and the standard DP4 version. Combined with the new stadium and a teched Slowking line could mean a revival of the classic haymaker. We still have nice damage boosts and trainers to disable the other side and who can turn down a turn two 120 damage. The turn needed to recharge does not matter much in this case. Double weakness bites somehow.

Magnezone Lv.X looks nice too combined with the old Magnezone. Now all that is needed is some mean to obtain Metal from the discard. Vire casn be used to handle the Lightning requirement.
