Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Dutch Nationals 2009 - 6/7 June

I disagree with removing information which could have been gathered by simply listening to players talking between games (and their opponent's).

2. Anna S. 6-1 Flygon/Abomasnow
3. Matijs M. 6-1 Gengar/Nidoqueen
4. Martin v/d V. 6-1 Kingdra/Nidoqueen
5. Gawein W. 6-1 Palkia/Dialga
6. Sven S. 6-1 Palkia/Dialga
7. Manuel B. 5-2 Flygon/Weavile
8. Marcel O. 5-2 Magnezone
9. Dennis W. 5-2 Palkia/Dialga
10. Kevin de M. 5-2 Flygon/Weavile
11. Djowie S. 5-2 Infernape G toxitank and more G
12. Maurice v/d B. 5-2 Dialga/Weavile perhaps Palkia
13. Johan v D. 5-2 Blaziken/Heatran
14. Jeroen L. 5-2 Flygon
15. Frank B. 5-2 Beedrill
16. Robert v E. 5-2 Machamp

Sure I can be wrong on some of them because it's about conversations I heared between rounds and playing against some of them by people I know.
Serious those who wanted information about their possible opponent's in top 16 already informed themselves by asking around this afternoon.
From all those top 16 players I think 2 of them are not looking om Pokegym, all others are and after 7 rounds swiss there are not much "secrets" left.

Usually the players know the decks after swiss rounds are concluded. It's not that kind of secret information what the others are playing, except for a few techs. At the evening of our Nationals' swiss rounds, we made a bracket list with all top 16 players and decks. We didn't hide that list from other players and possible opponents in the tops, because if you want to find out what the others are playing you will, at least after seven rounds.

For me it doesn't change anything.
I got a request from the TO, I removed my post.
Again, does it change anything to post them today or tomorrow?

But @ Lia there are certain tech Pokémon you usually don't make public until the end of the tournament. *looks at your decription of Anna's and Jeroen's deck* (just "Flygon" would have been enough here)
Depends on what you call the techs.
In that case Nidoqueen is a tech in Gengar
Weavile in Flygon
Heatran in Blaziken

So amazing , while people love it to see/know what their opponent is using ,they want at the same time nobody know what they use.

This is what I heard/remember and I can be wrong about some of them also.

don't know who's playing who at the moment but when i get a new update i'll post it

Also for seniors
Jasper v. B. and Arnoud v. B. are in top 4 and so are Olaf B. and David B. (also brothers)
Jasper is playing Olaf i think and Arnoud is playing David (not sure, otherwise it's Jasper vs. David and Arnoud vs. Olaf.)

Go Arnoud & Jasper :D

just got another update 2 minutes ago:

Jasper and Arnoud play eachother in finals for seniors :D

top 4 masters:
Kevin, Marcel, Martin and Jeroen
(go jeroen :p)

(again no idea who's playing who)

When I left, masters pairings were:

Kevin vs. Jeroen
Marcel vs. Martin

I lost to Kevin, a slight spell of bad luck + great play from Kevin's side = me beaten.

Still, Top 8, I'm happy with how I finished.

Jasper won Seniors
Congrats Jasper and also arnoud for getting 2nd and undefeated until finals

no news on masters, but someone probably will update soon

Should've kind of expected that. Kevin's list is crazy consistent and he's just a good player. Congratulations Kevin.

Marcel O. here, finishing 2nd in the Masters Divsion with Magnezone.

In the finals I played Kevin de M. with Flygon/Weavile. The 1st game I had quite a bad start while his was pretty good and I scooped after 25 minutes. The 2nd game was closer and I was ahead 3 to 5 when time was called. I couldn't make the kill so Kevin won. But if we played on I think Kevin would've won too.

Anyways, I'm very happy with my 2nd place and one of my best friends finishing in 1st place. I really enjoyed the 2 days of playing. Kevin and I are surely to compete at Worlds, so we'll see you all there!

Compliments, Marcel
And compliment to Kevin as well.

I had the pleasure to meet and know a little bit all of you guys and you are simply great!

Compliments!

Congrats^^
Still, did you play Magnezone or Magnezone Flygon? Because you said Magnezone but Lia wrote something else, and I dont get the point of Magnezone/Flygon xD

Dennis K. played Magnezone/Flygon. It worked with the SF Gyro Ball Magnezone powering up multiple Flygons swiftly. It definitely had a point but fell to Marcel's Magnezone, IIRC. It went 6-1 in Swiss.

Shame to see you go back to Italy Andreas. It was a pleasure while it lasted.
