Exs in Ross.deck?

What do u think about putting some Ex in a deck like The Truth? I think it would give u some really nice counters. the only problem i see with that is the really "pain in the °ss" magnezone.
Please comment your thougths about that idea! :)

They seem like obvious inclusions to me, since they're better sponges than the dragons and YanZone is dead. That was the only matchup where you actually attacked with the dragons.

However, with the introduction of Mewtwo to the format, I worry Ross's deck is on its dying breath in this format, and the EX's will kill it before it gets to tech them. That remains to be seen, though.

Yeah, Ross's deck is on its last limbs. I also fear that exs are too big a risk int he deck. it takes a while to set up, and needs to be able to ko its own Pokemon to activate Twins. If you give up 2 prizes at once, or lose 2 prizes, you wont be able to pull off the 5/6 prizes to 1 that i so often see Ross's deck have. because you'll have lost that extra prize.

1 play mewtwo in any deck
2 PROFIT

1. Play Weezing HGSS in any non-Mewtwo deck
2. ???
3. PROFIT!!

Honestly I could see Weezing as the Mewtwo counter for Ross. Problem is you give up a prize and there's no guarantee you got the ross lock set up before they took 5 prizes.

Still, playing Vileplume/Reuniclus/EX/Weezing should be the play, I think.

A wise man once said, "Only way to counter Mewtwo EX, is with Mewtwo EX". something like that, any way Im pretty sure there is a better counter besides Weezing we might not no of or has been overlooked

The only problem with countering mewtwo with mewtwo is most people playing a mewtwo deck with have leavany in the deck to counter mirror and mew decks

Leavanny's a bit of a pain to setup for a benchsitter. I don't think most builds will utilize it.

Weezing is such a terrible counter to mewtwo lol

How so? You should really elaborate before being so crass

Sure you give them a prize (sans defender) but you're taking 2 prizes and taking out their main attacker. Sure, they could have multiple Mewtwo set up, but those 2 Prizes you get with Weezing can mean all the difference in the world. throw in a rescue or Super Rod + Pokecom or just a 2-2 Weezing line and you can get 2 Mewtwo EX knockouts in a row which, if not a win, will give you at worst a 4 to 3 Prize taken advantage (assuming you knock out their first Mewtwo EX and Weezing, they knock out the next pokemon you bring up and you finish with another Mewtwo EX knockout) and at best a 4 to 1 prize taken advantage (with defenders added in).

Well my guess will be there will be builds utilization the gardy we should be getting in the set so in turn would mean they should fit in leavany. Mirror match will suck way to much and if you dont play leavany then your oppenant can drop RDL and take 3 prizes. Which is why i see RDL making a huge comeback

Mewtwo has 170 HP, explode with weezing does 90 damage, mewtwo is weak to weezing so x2 that would mean it does 180 damage, now subtract the 20 from eviolite and doesn't that make 160 which is 10 less than the 170 needed?

If Mewtwo is as prevalent in the Metagame as everybody thinks it'll be, Weezing is really the only splashable counter. A PP and Defender kills eviolite Mewtwo and keeps Weezing from dying. Aerodactyl and/or Kingdra also takes care of that extra 10. And if you're running Vileplume you shouldn't even have to worry about Eviolite, past the first one at least.
