Who's pumped?

I'm definitely psyched about this, and will be attending both the TCG and video game tournaments. My little brother will also try his hand at the video game while we're there.

So, you're saying Trainer Lock beats all? Huh. Then I'm guessing that the other (roughly) 4/5ths of the format that have, y'know, actually WON something is all trash, right?

The Florida metagame is a whole different animal. I'm not sure if you're aware, but FL is the toughest OP in the country, i'd go as far as saying it's the best/most skilled in the world.

Which is why none of them represented anything at this past Worlds? Seems a little ignorant to say that when you haven't played everywhere in the world...

Yeah, Florida didnt win this years nationals right? Iwrestlesmoochums a pokegym "baddie" didnt grind in the masters division either apparently. Stephen Silvestro's never won worlds. Jason Klaczynski doesnt live in Florida. Most of the consistent worlds players dont live in Florida. Yeah.

Grafton Roll top 4'd this years Nationals and Worlds in seniors this year, while Juan Pablo A has gotten 2nd at worlds and top 4'd nationals this year. But thats no biggie.

Truth, FL > everything

I'm not trying to be arrogant, but trying to imply that we ARENT competative is ridiculous. Yes, there are A LOT of great players out there. A LOT of them live in Florida.

I mean, I'm definitely not saying Florida isn't talented. I'm well aware of who lives there. And I'd like to call myself acquaintances with quite a few of them. I'm just saying that you seem to have an exaggerated view on the matter with best/most skilled in the World comments. It's just so opinionated. Florida Regionals won't be much different than any of the others. Every Region has high profile players that the top spot could be considered for.

Rolls
Currys
Silvestro and his father (world champion)
Jason Klacs (2x world champ)
Alex "big chuck" brosseau
Justin Sanchez (national champ 2011)

Thats like a brief list lol, there's so many amazing players in FL, much more than any other area. You can't dodge a good player because you hit them every other round

The players in FL are very good, the metagame as far as what is played is pretty similar to other areas, you got Zekrom, Trainer lock, Typhlosion, Yanmega/Magnezone varients etc, so to say the metagame is the different animal, I would say its more the players skill.

Yes, and even the FL Pokechicks are dangerous

Anyhoo, is there going to be a vendor on site? I've got a ton of bulk cards I want to get rid of.

Well, personally a lot of players in FL thought the bubble would be a lot higher than it was and killed there ranks at Nats.
