i went into the gamestops that are in utah and asked for a final rules and guess what...

theres a sign for the tournament RIGHT NEXT TO THE DS ACTON REPLAYS!

and they want to keep people from cheeting.

uhhh this thing is soooo unorgonised...

Century III is out of the question. Appearently, their store lacks space to hold the tournament. If I still go, I'll be going to South Hills Village. Hope to see some of you there.

They're not allowing anything beyond the numbers 490. So no. I heard that some stores will ban you just for having more then 3 MasterBalls and having Pokemon past 490 in your dex. I hope that's not the case.

Sorry MSF, but Lebanon valley is about 4 hours outta my way. SHV is only about half an hour
 
this is pretty lame i got a darkrai and arceus off the GTS just for the data. and now i released it. would i get kicked out for the data?
 
They vary wildly from location to location. Call the one that you're planning on attending and ask them what rules they're using.
 
i found one near me and ill will be going. i called and they said they dont care if i use my darkrai! XD

as a matter of fact, they have no ban list at all. I guess it is time to break out the ubers lol

Wait, you got them off of GTS just for there data? In order to get something from the GTS, you need to have them in your dex already. Therefor, you already had there data. That makes no sense.

There are two possibilities:

1.You cheated
2.You'ce already had them(or seen them somewhere)Possibly a Wi-Fi-Club trade

No. As of the release of the tenth pokemovie in japan, roughly 2,500,000 darkrais were given out, so they in theory are obtainable. Just not here in the US.

Rules are definitely varying by area.

Here's what we were told:

4 Pokemon (from #1-490)
they will upload to Wii and set them all to Level 50 to be fair
The Pokemon and tournament will be monitored for possible cheats ie: too many items, wrong Pokemon etc.
The girl I called said she "assumes they'll do single battles" when I asked her

Very shakey deal as far as I'm concerned.

My son wants to attend, but I have warned him that things may not go as planned. Probably going to be very disorganized is my guess.

They have 12-14 people signed up so far.
