It DOESN'T have 170HP..... wait until the card comes out. Even if that picture does its a misprint and will be corrected.

well, who knows? It might be a misprint. But since the guy from ebay must have taken it from somewhere, and that somewhere should probably be some reliable source, it may have 170 HP and some sort of self-destructing attack or anything that would make for having that much HP.

I looked more closely at espeon ex like everyone else is saying, and even though I told AshVanJe differently, this time around, I held up a card with "1" in the HP, another card with "7", and put them next to espeon ex.

Yes, it has 170 HP!!! However, why whine when wailord ex has 200 HP , and it's still very beatable?

Wex was a good card, yes, but not 00ber-broken like you all thought it was BEFORE translations came out. Espeon ex WILL balance out, I ASSURE you.

If it is uber broken, then well...start playing Slowbro and Kingdra with it I guess!

You guys...are weird. Just because it has high HP DOES NOT make it a misprint, and you have no right to go off and directly say it is. It's not like it is an attack, it's the HP. They would NOT make such a huge mistake. With every powerful Pokemon, there is always a downside, so I wouldn't be surprised if this Espeon had some sort of HP reduction attack/power/whatever.

Geez.

Use logic...... its an Espeon. Ok, an Espeon. Cards always stick within a certain range, why would an Espeon ex have 170HP? Espeon is a Stage 1 and not a really high HP Pokémon.

All those 150 and 160 HP cards are big Stage 2's, and their regular forms have 100+ HP. As for Wailord check out its HP in the GBA games, its massive, and thus the 200 is a reflection of that. I'm not saying 170 would be too broken, as of course there would be a downside to a card like that, but it just doesn't make sense to give an Espeon ex 170HP, it wouldn't happen...... think about what you're suggesting for a minute.

Even if that is a 7, when the card is released it will not have 170HP. Not for brokeness reasons but for the simple logic that its an Espeon.....

Your comments are uncalled for. You state as a fact that when the card is released, it will not have 170 HP. Your basis? "OMG 1T CNT HAVE 17O HPS BECUSE ITS IN ESPEON!1!!1"

IT'S AN EX! THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE BROKEN! SO WHAT IF IT HAVE 10-20 MORE HP THEN IT SHOULD HAVE? BIG DEAL!

You don't even know what the card does yet, yet you say these kinds of things.

Well judging from a regular Espeon having 70-80, an Espeon ex realistically should range from 100 to maybe 120. If it were "10-20" more, then ok, it might be an exception..... but 170 is ridiculous to even think its a possibility. And no, Pokémon-ex aren't meant to be broken.

Pokémon-ex HP does link to non-EX and they have always been within a fair range. The only reason Wailord ex had 80 more than regular Wailord is because 120 is the cap for non-EX. Non-EX Wailord would have had more if possible.

Pokémon TCG always stays within realistic paramaters - why break that for one card?

dom jordan just shut it pokemon might be trying something new, if u look at the pic it says 170 DEAL with it.

Seriously, who cares...???

The cards haven't even been released in Japan yet, let alone ANY confirmation in America and otherwise... Even if it IS 170HP, why make such a fuss? I mean, for starters, you don't have to choose to play the card. Notice that whole emphasis on it being your CHOICE! (OMG!?)

If it's broken, then it'll be a GREAT marketing point for the game, since it's an ex, that'd mean you'd have to purchase more product in order to attain it, thus making the industry more profits...! Besides, I doubt PUI or anyone else would allow broken cards to come into the game without balancing it out somehow... And, there are quite a few ways they could do that, too! Here are a few ways...
1. Make Eevee too much of teh suckage to want to bother
2. Limit the card through it's own text, such as a limiting poke-power or a self-inflicting attack...
3. Have a different card within the set be able to wipe the floor of Esp ex too easily to, again, bother playing it...

The list goes on, by the way...

Anyway, back to the actual topic... I think we're due for some pwn'age Eevee lines! No longer shall we suffer from the injustices of lacking attack power or measly HP...! Finally, shall we have some cards to make their predicesors proud! *tears up when thinking of Neo-set Espeon and Umbreon*

Just some spare change to throw out there...

What if the card is editted by a photo-editting program just to grab people's attention so that people will bid on it?

Its got nothing to do with how broken/not broken 170HP would make it. I already said I understand there are ways to balance out the power of cards. Also, Poké-Powers can't be limiting since you choose when you use them, for it to be limiting it'd have to be a Poké-Body, which we all know it isn't.

Is thinking before you jump to conclusions too much to ask? Ask yourself if realisitically there would be an Espeon-ex printed with 170HP...... we already know the picture is a prototype, and that specific card is not gonna be released (they aren't exactly gonna shove it back in the machines).

You all are thinking on the wrong wavelength - the fact is HP has a balance within the game. 170HP is too far out of the mould for an Espeon-ex.

again pokemon might be doing something new just quite dom jordan stop complaining all the post u made says about the same thing 170 is too much even for an espeon thats an EX. WE the people of pokegym DONT care that u think its not possible that a stage 1 have more hp than a stage 2 (except wailord ex). just zip it!

No need to be rude about it....... Look I agree the picture shows 170HP but logic suggests that is not possible and logic comes into Pokémon all the time. Like a balance of the HP.

Why give Espeon (a usually low HP Pokémon) more than Charizard (a usually massive HP Pokémon in the TCG at least)..... this is not the kind of balance I'm talking about I mean specifically the HP, not in terms of limiting its power but just thinking of the HP.

Ok so the picture says 170HP (That's a certain now I enlarged it and sharpened it its a 7 for sure) but remember that is a prototype, its not even been properly printed yet (you can see it is nonholo and will probably be holo), so it will probably be changed before it comes out.
