Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Groundbreakers set list? Confirmed!

Are you going to believe a set list where they misspell Flaaffy?
We've seen mispellings on cards before

A credible member of my league says she has seen it. Unless she wasn't sure of what she was looking at, I find that reason to believe atleast 3 figures from that list, appearing in the same starter set, are accurate. The pic mewchou posted is also convincing evidence.

people on here are too quick to jump to disbelief, especially after multiple sources said it was seen at Wal-Mart :nonono:

Wow, so it is real.
Could you take pictures of the figures from the starter set, too?

Edit: It appears Landon and Green are just recolors of Red and Brandon. LAME.

Official Groundbreakers Discussion Thread

Now we have confirmation that the Groundbreakers set list is real, I thought we should have an official thread.

Set List

I notice they have several Pokemon from families in Next Quest or other pokemon in Groundbreakers. Maybe they'll introduce evolution somehow? Although I don't see how that would work.

Also, it seems Green is a Red recolor and Landon is a Brendan recolor. Hopefully they will be some difference between Red and Green and Brendan and Landon, so they won't be just clones.

Oh, and if anybody has any Groundbreakers figures, please post the information.

I'd love to know if these will actually come to Australia, given the performance of the original set in the test market phase. I've got the feeling that the LD won't want to risk it.

OK, I'm assuming you all know Skydive is real now, so here's the information for my figures:

240 degrees White, Tackle 10
3MP

Green #39/42 Sculpted by Nakazawa Hiroyuki
Same as every other Trainer.

Thanks, Shadowcard.

<3 Latios and Raticate. Good, original concepts.
Latios is ridiculous; it has the power of a 2 or even 1 MP Pokemon but it has 3 MP... I guess that PokePower balances it out more than enough, though.
Raticate captures the same spirit that many of its recent TCG adaptations have; an all-or-nothing attack. And it has 3 MP, too.
Hariyama is just meh. Average and boring.

Latias and Latios look awesome *Drools*

EDIT:Now I want to know what the Trainer cards are

Who is "the LD" ??? I didnt get to buy the Pokemon TFG the first time it came around to Australia, and i dont want to miss out the second time around !
If its the LD people making the decisions, i want to try and change their minds! Hopefully they realise there is new packaging (without the poor collation - which would probably have turned a lot of people off) and the pokemon all have spinners now which might make it more attractive to people to buy again.

Ps. there is already information about the skydive starter here, but the other starter is called Whirlwind, and contains Latias, Mightyena + 2 other pokemon http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/244440
Anyone know any more about this one?

I'm kind of disappointed by the lack of Fourth Generation Pokemon, but it's understandable; these sets probably have a very long production time. Hopefully the three Figure Boosters will have some more Fourth Generation Promos. Come on, Electivire.

It's really unlikely that foreign countries will buy anytime soon the new TFGs, even if the 2nd expansion has been already translated a looong time ago.
This is due to the big flaws of the INTL release, which has all been fixed thanks to th INTL people's advices, for US release.
Of course, as people here lost a lot of money for this product, they don't want to take risk again. It's a shame, those new figures are really nice, and the game itself has a potential.

I just had a thought. It has been said several times that new special conditions will be added in later expansion sets. Looking at the list i reckon it will be asleep (jigglypuff would be nothing without sleep) and confused (zubat).
