I am just worried about the great numbers of Mario and Electivire in my area. Kingdra beats them both while Electivire has hard matchups to both. Kingdra is a LOT faster than Electivire. And in my region, the metagame is VERY competitive. And almost every deck here is very fast. I am sorry for not playing Vire but I am hoping to play test it there and bring you some results anyways.

Pinsir is in no way better than Castform. Pinsir does what Fearow does except worse because it's an attack. Why would you need 2 different pokemon in the deck to do the same exact thing?

1-1 Cloyster I won't argue with, losing an Altaria wouldn't be that great.

Yes, Spearow is an unwanted starter. You can't even argue with that.

Kingdra d needs to be active to use its power, so that's basically no good.

Try adding a strength charm, it helps against those 90 hp and in many situations those 130 hp things as well.
 
i'd say take out the bfs add in crystal beach and run 4 holon castform or 4 pinsar 1 castfor 2 2 is just weird. i highly recomend 3 mentor and castaway engine with strength charms and the buffers. you might also want to try ray ex d with a couple bebe's. and definetly drop some elms you have fearow and pinsar!
 
WHAT? PETM is the supporter of choice. Run 4 holon's castform and add in Crystal beach? I don't understand you one bit.

Another update. I took out Pinsir. I also only have 3 Holon Castform. I though that Crystal Shard would be a good tech because of the common fighting resistance and the colorless weakness. TGW was something that I was adding anyways. Strength Charm was also very needed. There are so many 90 HP pokemon out there.

Trust me its totally necessary for the modern format.

B/C all of the new and (somewhat good) decks have some sort of either sniping or bench damage added to them...

Crystal Shard is mostly for the big Fighting resistance on Flygon d and Salamence ex d. It lets me take out Salamence ex d in 1 hit and Flygon d in 2 hits.
 
Oh yeah! I didn't see that. That can be good since Salamence and Flygon are both pretty good decks in my region.
 
When your opponent is playing R-Gon. hit the bench, draw them out and hit their exs. And, it only loses 1 prize so it can stall for you.
 
You don't need cloyster to beat R-Gon ,a good Kingra list beats R-Gon hands down. Believe me I am the person who started the whole Kingra wave. I am being serious if you don't believe look up some old post about kingrda so I know what i'm talking about. But back to R-Gon, as long as you get two kingdra ex out at all times they have to three swing you and two swing them. I didn't lose to a R-Gon list with my kingdra list.
 
Ive always been a fan of 1-1 Milotic, but sadly its just not as good as it sounds. Instead of digging out my Milotic line, I could be working on digging out another Kingdra line, which will prove MUCH more useful in the long run.

I know theres the argument that "getting out Milotic could let you get your opponents supporters that would fetch another Kingdra line" but then whats the point of Milotic? To just eventually fetch the Kingdra line that I could have just gotten instead of Milotic in the first place?

Hmm i dunno, Milotic has always been tricky like that. I guess you just have to test it.
 
just max out the mentor. kingdra swarm doesn't have to the other basics right away. I dont play pinsir, i run castform with another line and kingdra. it works really well. get alot of draw and get 2 KEX in by T3-4
