Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Heroes Season 2! (Spoilers Inside)

BORING
except for the last 2 minutes

I know. This episode felt like a huge letdown. I want Season 1 back. =*(

The preview for next week looked epic, though. Hopefully they'll tie all the events of these first six episodes together so that this season won't have to ride on last one's coattails anymore.

Yeah, more then half of the episode was a waste of time. However, I'm intrigued by the fact that Hiro mesed up time. There was a painting of Hiro and Kensei fighting. I just hope that scene won't be another let down when it comes.

As for Clair, I'll stick with the statement I said earlier, her storyline is basically a reapeat of what happened last season. :frown: Although, it was pretty funny with the "masked flying man" scene where Clair "died."

Peter's storyline went nowhere... until the last few minutes. I'm looking forward to the next episode.

!@*$(^@$*&#%^^&!
INTENSE
BEST episode in season 2 so far, heck, prolly even ranks up there with some of the good season 1 eps.

Man... wow. I thought this episode was great and I had it figured out and stuff before the last minute, but the last minute was like ZOMGZLOLBBQ.

I thought the future scenes where the virus has killed people were gonna be the most awesome part of this episode, but they may well have been the most boring. They were pretty predictable, in any event. Lead to one conspiracy theory tho - that Angela has a power similar to Matt and made Peter remember. Nah, of course not. That's too overcomplicated.

The storyline with Nathan/Matt/Mohinder/Bob/Niki/Maury(Matt's dad) was great. GREAT character development-y emotional scene between Matt and his father (Perhaps a tad cliche'd tho...)
Unfortunately, despite defeating Maury, they've screwed everyone over with the virus they gave niki. I don't fully believe Bob when he says he's gonna destroy it, but maybe he is. If he does, though, Niki must spread it, or something, since in the future it killed people.
Speaking of the future, poor peter... he's stuck without Caitlin now.

I don't know why they think Claire can cure Niki, unless her power can develop into being able to heal other people, too... like Linderman, I suppose. Although, Linderman obviously couldn't heal himself... tho that might be because DL literally ripped his heart out.

Meanwhile, Noah is teh evils! Seriously, we used to think Noah=good company=bad, but it's like, completely reversing now. I'm liking the company more and more and hating Noah more and more. He's so selfish and stuff. And he made West hate Claire, that's too bad. West is a really cool character, I liked the "Popsicles. Awesome." thing.

Now, this kinda makes sense. At least two of the eight pictures came true this episode (with one already having came true, the dead kaito one), so they're moving pretty fast. I guess Mohinder shoots Noah, because that links the Mohinder w/ a gun and Noah lying on the ground pics together. Hmm...

And for the most intense part of the episode... Hiro. I can't help but feel sorry for the guy. Not only does he have to leave his love and whatnot, but he returns to his father being dead. And he's such a nerd, he's like, the definition of the lovable naive hero and whatnot... and he SCREWED UP HISTORY. >____<

The last minute of the episode was not only intense, but it made everything else about the episode more intense. Adam Monroe is Kensei, WHAT THE HECK.
Desert Eagle had a theory after last week's episode that Hiro screwed up the timeframe, and he was right. There was NO mention of Adam Monroe, or of anything that was revealed to be related to him, until Hiro went back in time. Hiro screwed history up, because stupid he forgot Kensei can survive an explosion. The question is how the heck Kensei got to the future, but somehow, he did, and for his revenge on Hiro, he did all of this crap. Ugh, I can't even express all of my thoughts on the matter in words.

Character/Emotional stuff was great this episode, Niki stabbing herself for Micah's sake, Matt fighting Maury, Hiro having to leave Yaeko... very nice emotionalness.

Also, my theory: Linderman saw this coming. That's why he wanted New York to blow up - so that only 0.7% of the population would die, not 93%. He knew that if New York didn't blow up and all that, Hiro would screw time over, and "Adam Monroe" would appear. They said Linderman was Monroe's disciple, but what Linderman did made sense without Monroe existing as well as with him being Monroe's disciple.

Ugh, it's all so confusing. Lots of questions, very few answers. Time will tell...

I'd like to know how Adam/Kensei absorbed the bolt Peter shot at him and how the heck he already knew Peter. I have a threory that Angela, Peter, and Nathan are Adam/Kensei's decendant. OK, that's a bit too radical, but I strongly believe that Adam/Kensei is related to the at least one of the Heroes.
I wonder what Hiro is going to do now that he's back in the present and just learned that his father was murdered. I can't wait for the next episode.

Could Kensei/Adam have not aged for 400 years and been planning this since Hiro thought he killed him? ;x

My guess is that Adam/Kensei has a power similar to Peter's (since he IS the big bad guy and all), but doesn't know it. He finds out he had absorbed Hiro's power earlier, and uses it to go to Hiro's time, to get revenge on him.

Nah, Adam is immortal. The whole conversation Bob had with Nathan about how Adam feels he is a god makes sense with that idea. It also explains why Kensei didn't die when he got shot with arrows, and why he was able to arrive in the present time. Adam/Kensei didn't teleport to the future, he just lived those 100's of years, and used the time to come up with the best way to get revenge on Hiro.

On the Mohinder gun painting, I think West is going to shoot HRG, and Mohinder will shoot West. Thus both paintings come true. The only difference will be Mohinder holding the crying Claire.

CyberManectric - He didn't absorb the bolt. He autohealed his skin after it hit him. He met Peter in the four months that elapsed between the end of season 1 and the start of season 2.

Anyways, I have to agree with desert eagle's theory, not Prime's. I did consider the immortality theory, but there's one other piece of evidence pointing towards Kensei having Peter's power.

When Nathan and Bob were talking about Adam Monroe, why did they even talk about the news article that read "Snow in Miami" but could have read "Tsunami wipes out eastern seaboard"?
Simple. Because Adam Monroe has a weather control power.
We know, however, that Adam Monroe, aka Kensei, has healing power.
We also know that he somehow arrived 300-400 years in the future, whether by immortality or by time travel.
Putting these three pieces together, it can be inferred that Adam/Kensei has multiple powers - at the very least Weather Control and Instahealing, and quite easily due to his encounter with Hiro, time traveling.

I also disagree with Prime on the Mohinder/West/Noah/Claire bit. Mohinder shoots Noah, plain and simple - that links the mohinder with a gun to noah on the floor. Before that happens, Claire gets West to come to forgive her, hence why he's holding her when her father gets shot.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Also, thought I should mention this, in case some people don't know.

Thanks to the stupid writer's strike, there's a possibility that Season 2 will be truncated to a mere ELEVEN episodes.
The "Generations" (Volume 2) story arc was going to end at Episode 11, with a new story arc picking up at 12. If the writer's strike persists, however, they'll be airing an alternate ending to episode 11 that makes it a conclusion to the entire season.
Stupid writers.

See! Hiro did end up being Kenzei.

Adam Monroe definately has something along the lines of Peters abilities, because of the whole 'snow in Miami' to tsunami wipes off entire east coast' reference.

This episode made everything very exciting again, because the last few had been serious letdowns. Stupid writers strike, but it is for very valid points so I guess it is understandable. I hope it gets resolved soon.

Well, that certainly answers some things. That's about all it does, though. Wasn't terribly exciting... but it answered stuff.
The character of Elle continues to be great; she acts like a child because she had no childhood. Makes sense.
I'm still wondering how the company knows EVERYTHING... ah well.
Also, Niki=lame. Now she has another new personality? What's this going to be, a new personality every season? But judging by the last few minutes, she's better now... I doubt it.
And DL gets himself shot AGAIN... good job, stupid.
Can't figure out if Kensei's healing blood is an extension of the selfhealing or a power similar to Mohinder's... prolly the former.
Nice explanation of how Peter got in a crate with amnesia and without a shirt. And the Haitian thinks he was helping Peter. I suppose this confirms that the Haitian's loyalty is, in fact, to Angela.

Well, they only have 3 episodes to wrap up this short (and relatively lame) story arc. It was definitely worse than season 1. It's really too bad... maybe the "Volume 3" story arc would've been better, but the chances of us getting that this year are close to zero.
Stupid writer's strike.

I enjoyed this episode even more, perhaps, than last week's. The season feels more cohesive now that we know what happened to Peter, who really holds this show together, which I'm grateful for (I wish Matt and Nathan "adopting" Molly and getting an apartment in New York City would have been rationalized, though). This was also the first time in a LONG time that I didn't completely hate Niki's portion of the episode. Bonus!

No idea how they'll wrap this up in three episodes with the writer's strike looking endless at the moment, but I'm excited nonetheless.

You know, that last episode made it harder to tell how's a hero and who the real villain is. After seeing what they did to Peter it's hard to tell if the Company is really all that good. Adam is now more questionable since he healed Nathan. Maybe he did it just to gain Peter's trust, but you never know. The Heroes storylines are always filled with twists and turns.

Is it just me or does it seem like Angela has the power of persuasion, or something similar?

Seems to me like she has a power that's very similar to Eden's (Mohinder's neighbor from last season), only without the voice layering, because that would give it away. Looks like she's taken it to a different level than Eden did, though, because she was able to communicate with Parkman when he tried to read her mind.

Wow, that was a good episode.
Lots of deep emotional stuff with the fathers and their offspring... that was the theme of the episode. Not really sure where the title "Cautionary Tales" came from, I think something relating to the father-offspring relationships would've been much more appropriate.
The showdown between bob and noah regarding elle and claire... matt turning into his father (It sucks, but I kinda saw it coming), and Hiro realizing he shouldn't save his dad but getting surprised as heck by kensei being alive.

Mohinder... he betrays his friend, and then the people whose side he took revive his friend. He's gonna feel like a jerk at that reunion. I dunno, though, it's like... he's turning into the old Noah just as Noah was becoming more of a good guy.
West is getting progressively more awesome. I hope he becomes one of the major heroes next season.
The backstory on Elle was depressing... electrocuting a 12 year old's brain, and your own daughter, no less... =(

Looks like Prime and whoever else was right; Kensei is just immortal and not a power absorber. I have to wonder why they brought up those articles about the weather, though.

Who is this Victoria Pratt? She must be really important (other than the fact that she's the final member of the original gang) for Angela to want to protect her so much...

Oh, and the ending? WHAT THE HECK?! They just keep throwing the most INSANE plot twist endings at us. That's what makes Heroes such a great show, and it makes me even more sad that they had to halve this season...
