Do 36 packs still come in the boxes? Or since there is 11 cards in each pack (i think) is there going to be less because theres energy in each pack.

How about also saying "Thanks TPCi for listening to the player base and inproving the distribution of chase cards!"?

Fair is fair.

By the way, do the Japanese sets have RH basic energy?

How about I don't because I think that is a mistake. I DON'T like chase cards being common, because if they are common, then technically they aren't chase cards because you don't need to "chase" them.

As far as RH, I don't know, I couldn't tell you, but by your logic we should have gotten both RH and Normal Prime Pokemon as they came in both.

I am not very happy about the new scheme. If I was I might agree with you, but since I don't, I can't.

In my box I pulled:

all 6 primes
top of lugia
bottom of ho-oh
alph lithograph
3 DCE
3 Communicator

and 4 or more of every decent uncommon

Great news!

But seems like it will be difficult to get 4 prime of the same such as 4 feraligatr prime. Meh

...pretty much the same as any other Holo Rare card. You generally only get 1 of a certain holo rare, maybe 2, per box.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Not an energy in each pack. One on every 3 packs or so. Still 10 cards.

Does anyone know how much the lithograph is worth money wise? I pulled one out of my first pack and no one else got one out of 3 prereleases in az with over 50 people in each.

Any initial value is going to go down a lot since it has little to no playability.

I got 8 packs at PR, and through those, got one pack w/ Lugia Legend Bottom, and one pack (after the fact) with Alph Lithograph and Blissey Prime. Another person at the PR pack TWO Lithographs in their 8, one pack having Lithograph/Prime in it. No one pulled Shiny Gyarados. Just notes.

From a 2nd hand seller of cards, I would expect nothing less from you. As a collector and parent, I LOVE this scheme. Why should parents shell out 35 bucks for a "chase" card like Lux X??

The new scheme is great because now everyone can obtain them for deck etc. and not have to pay out their butt to get them off ebay's inflated prices sellers are asking..

Very good move TPCi!:thumb:

I could replace this entire post with...

"whine, whine, whine".

Seriously, this is the best rare distribution this game has ever seen. Good cards are easier to find than ever, including the Trainer cards. Through a Prerelease and two 4-pack drafts (not opening the 2 bonus packs, so about 14 boosters), I got something like 30 Trainers, Supporters, and Special Energy. That's not a half-bad distribution, isit? I only got 2 Primes, but I passed my second Meganium for an Oak in the draft (and very glad that I did at that). You're getting at least 10 cards in a box that were considered EX-rare or rarer before coming to the States. Remember that no set in PTCG history has contained more than 8 on average cards of that caliber. And you're still whining and moaning about the rarity distribution.

I feel sorry for you and players of your kind that can't seem to see any positive in playing or collecting this game.

I disagree, if I remember correctly, the first print run of Ex: Ruby and Sapphire had a very good ex distribution ratio..
But, I really am loving this set's distribution ratio and pray that it stays for a few sets because I like having extra money for things other than pokemon cards..lol

It is not playable in gengar? I think its a must in gengar at least 1 or 2.

Looker's Investigation does the same exact thing for the one or two uses you would have in a game.

I don't see Gengar decks focusing on Poltergeist anymore. Spiritomb/Gastly help enough, I don't see a big reason to run any of this card.

I got

2 blissey prime
2 donphan prime (sold them for $40)
2 typhlosion prime
1 feraligatr prime
1 lugia top

oh, this is the box ratios...sorry

I saw 4 alph litographs, they were relatively common here in soFla. Primes are about 6-9 in a box, and I love this set!

I never got a box of that set, nor do I remember the conversations about the rarity scheme of that time. It was simpler that way. ^_^

But, yeah. The first print run only on RS, I'll give you. But every subsequent print run and every subsequent set hasn't been anywhere near as good as HGSS.
