HGSS Prime and LegendCards Warping/Curling?

I have 4 donphan prime in my deck, and I sure can tell when they are coming up in the stack. It has been that way since day one.

Yea I noticed a lot of my primes are curling from top to bottom as well but it seems being in a binder
has seemed to straigten them a lot. However only one of my lugia peices was curled out of all of the
legends i pulled.

I noticed it when opening my packs already, you could easily see a slight gap between the RH and the last common due to the curling.

Amazing -.-

Yep, it's definately amazing. It makes me wonder why Japanese cards never curl. Far better quality cards or something else?

The curling effect has always been there. This is actually nothing new. The Arceus Cards, and Reverse Holos, along with Level X's always noticeably bend the pack at the top and bottom making it obvious to someone with a careful eye that their might be a level X in the pack. The HG/SS cards have more of a pronounced curve to them though and all the packs have a card with a curve so there is no longer anyway to tell if a rare card is in the pack. I think TPCI is just trying to make it more difficult to find packs with reverse holos or other chase cards.

I noticed with every booster I have gotten of HGSS, that the cards are curling...slightly.

I have been to 2 prereleases in different states and have a box and had all of them like this. I know of another card game I am into who has had a recall on them because of this. (All the cards were holographic that needed to be recalled.)

Since most of the time the cards are sleeved unlike the other came so it should be fine though. I am glad I am not the only one who noticed.

Here on the Texas coast, where it is always humid, the cards have the same slight curve to them they have always had. I've had a reverse Pokemon Communication sitting on my desk for the last 2 or 3 days, and it is curved just like normal- nothing out of the ordinary.

I think the difference between the Japanese cards is that the edges are plastic coated as well (like regular playing cards). The U.S. versions aren't coated on the sides. If they are plastic coated on the back, it's a very thin plastic coating. That layer of protection keeps the moisture in the air from penetrating the cards, thus preventing the curling.

Every Prime in an entire case is warped or as you say it curled. It is worse than any other Lv.X we have ever received. The Japanese X's are perfectly flat and straight.

I am hoping some time in sleeves and the binder will help...

adagerna, if you & pikathexIII tell doomsday that the general is cheating, the general will tell doomsday to keep every milotic c youll ever come in contact with away from you

Ok, that made me laugh. Only because I already do that now (still have that one from league on Friday night lol). Just have Omar give me the extra as well.

So far none of mine have curled that badly, at least not that can be noticed in sleeves (unless they are in the penny sleeves). The deck that has the most Primes/new cards (which is only 7 cards) is all uniform in the look at last check when I used it at league last night.
