Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

How do you beat it?

I'll give anyone $5 that can beat my Blasty with Machamp.

I had two people at MI states tell me their deck was an "autowin" against Blasty before I 2-0'd both of them with relative ease. There aren't many decks that are great vs. Blasty, but the best decks are probably ones that cut off Pidgeot. Without a Pidgeot, its difficult to reload a Holon's poke each turn to attack. However, those decks that shut down Pidgeot are usually like T2 decks that can get KILLED by a decent draw. If you get a quick Blastoise with a couple of Holon's pokes, the T2 deck is just DONE for. I beat MI state Champion Jason Klaczynski's Medicham (his only loss on the day), Jeff Wiza's Hariyama (his only loss in the swiss), and former MI State Champ Tracey Key's Arcanine ex (Which ran a frontier I didn't counter all game) pretty handidly. However, with bad draws it could have gone the other way quite easilly.

Espycham, Rock Lock, Metatrode, Machamp, for starters.
I went 10-3 at DE states losing to a turn two pidgy weakness in a best two of three match, then twice to medi in the finals...
I beat meta trod 2-1 beat a rock lock durring swiss, and honestly dont think a machamp deck coud take this deck, but medi has like a 80-20 advantage

a tech mr mime ditto or mr mime ex desrtoyes it
Umm... how would a Mr. Mime Ditto help? I can see how Mr. Mime (Even) might help, if the case arises where it could somehow block the damage, but they could Strength Charm past it.
EDIT: Wasn't saying that it could block 200 damage...

Oh my GOD!! TELL ME HE DIDN'T SUGGEST MR. MIME EX MAGIC EVENS!! Good GOD! You are one SICK individual.

MegaVelocibot: "Mr. Mime ex, use your Magic Evens Poke-Power to stop that Lugia ex!"
Moss: "Lugia ex, use Elemental Blast!"
Lugia ex: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!! 200 TO YA DOME!!

Hours later back at the local Pokemon Center...

Mr. Mime ex: "What the HECK is your problem dude? You sent ME out there against that thing to DIE?!!"
MegaVelocibot: "But you have Magic Evens--"
Mr. Mime ex: "HAVE YOU EVER READ THE CARD?!! IT GOES UP TO 180!! YOU'RE SICK YOU'RE SICK HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?!! I GOT HIT BY 200 DAMAGE!! HOW COULD YOU?"
MegaVelocibot: "It was an honest mistake, I just didn't read the--"
Mr. Mime ex: "That's it, I'm sick of this crap. Next you'll be putting me in the ring with a Charizard ex. We're through."

And that was the last MegaVelocibot ever saw of his Mr. Mime ex.

I didn't suggest it... I was trying to understand what the poster before me had said...
Then again, I don't have to worry about that. I don't even have a MMex.

Mr. Mime Ditto will copy their sky kick and to 120 to them.
Wait, wait... Sky Kick? What card in LBS has Sky Kick? Am I missing something vital? And... what would you use to energize it without the card dying?

The Tech Mr. Mime ditto is often put into the LBS deck to counter a heave T2 fighting metagame, most of them will be playing powdacham or hariyama. With the Mr. Mime, you can copy their sky kick or whatever they may use and destroy them if they are weak to psy, so it is just a tech against psy weak pokes that give the deck problems. Just power it up the same way like lugia, energy rain, and add the holon.

Moss Factor: ROFL

OMG, can we stop this Medicham NONESENSE?!?

You guys are jumping on the Medicham bandwagon like its the short bus that takes you to school.

Medicham DOES NOT, repeat DOES NOT beat Blastoise. I don't get what you guys are so confused about and I really really don't get why Blastoise players are losing to Medicham. You all must have horrible deck lists or something, I'm just dumbfounded.

Mime Ditto > Mime ex. Those Mime ex guys are HORRIBLE, just terrible terrible cards. They can't even abuse Weakness due to their lame attack. There was a heated debate about the tech for Blastoise and it basically comes down to your metagame whether you choose Mew ex, Mime Ditto or Sudowoodo. For my money, nothing beats Mew. Mime is really specific but it gives you a 90/10 edge in a matchup that was 70/30 and it should give you a HUGE edge v. Cham. Sudo is really really good v. RockLock but the Energy costs of the attacks you copy are ridiculous. That and Pidgeot can single handedly stall by keeping Sudo active.

TacC is right blasty dose not lose and if it dose take a look at your list. LBS is really hard to out run in the set up iv seen Jarachi starts turn in to T1 balstys lot of times so i swear if you lose to a cham deck i beg you to look at your list.

TAKE OUT BLASTY... you have to take out blasy at all cost if blasty is left unchecked you have lost the game. Lock Pidgeot if you can but take out blasty and dont let them power tree.

Okay, but how? Blasty is a 3HKO and 2HKOs Medicham so even if the Cham player hits first they STILL die.

But you can't. Free retreat. Even with a Wobbuffet or 2 on the bench you could still Rain onto Pidgeot and retreat.

Easier said than done. Warp Point or Lugia will kill your Wise Aura and then Pidgeot searches it out. Game on.

you have got to be kidding me! at DE state the top 2 at the end of swiss were both LBS, one undefeated, and one with his only loss being to the undefeated player, medi took out the 5-1 blast in top 4 either 2-0, or 2-1... then beat the undefeated blasty in the finals 2-0... go playtest the matchup some more, medi has the advantage, unless blasty gets crazy good draws

Wow, just wow.

What's funny is that a lot of good players agree with me and you haven't said anything to them. And you still haven't accepted my offer: Your Medicham v. my Blastoise. I've asked you to play me 2 other times and you never respond. I'm not going to keep this up. Beat me and I'll put it in my sig. Otherwise, you're just blowing smoke.

Mr Mime seems good in LBS mirror too, after you steelix them, they lugia you and you kill thier lugia with a non ex.

I sorta like the mr mime idea.

btw Cham isnt easy for toise, its in chams favor, but toise does have Jirachi + Holon/Toise EX/Mr Mime tech all as methods to beating the t2 deck.
