Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

IV Bragging thread

I have waaaay to much time on my hands. I've been at it for over 4 hours today alone. Can't figure out the RNG and haven't caught a shiny yet.

Here's one I just hatched:

Axew
Jolly
Mold Breaker
HP: 31
Attack: 31
Defense: 29
Speed: 31
Special Attack: 16
Special Defense: 29

And its shiny

@ Garch- same here, have'nt figged out fully how to rng yet- but the breeding thing is easy.

I did end up with a Foongus with being:
bold
often dozes off
31/31/22/12/31/18

now to breed that with Amoongus:
relaxed
8/31/31/31/31/25

Victini - Timid
31/00/31/31/31/31

First RNG abuse, I'm happy and it was incredibly easy :). I tried catching it in Luxury and Premier Balls but I ran out and ended up catching it in a regular Poke Ball, which at least matches somewhat is red/orange colour?

Joltik - Timid
31/14/30/31/31/31 (HP Ice 70)

Second RNG abuse, this is incredibly easy compared to other generations wow, I might actually be ready for VGC tourneys sooner than I expected.

Vanillite - Modest
31/11/31/31/31/31 (HP Dark 70)

Third RNG abuse, this was annoying as I kept getting the dog Pokemon instead of this but I finally managed it, and with a 25/12 for lols capture date in a Premier Ball.

RNG = ? (sorry just getting into the VGC ;p)

Is there an in-game method of checking IVs? Or what is the way that you guys use for checking ivs?

Well, for quite accurate results, I'd record the stats of a Pokémon at lv 50 or higher (that either has no EV's or who's EV's you have recorded). Then use Metal Kid's IV Calculator and enter in the needed information. The results should be two or three possible IV's. Hope this helps.

RNG is quite hard to explain, so read about it here.

You realize that the personality is randomly generated dependent on the IV that is the highest, right?

If you're already in control of your IVs the personality has nothing to do with anything else iirc...

unless they changed it, who knows...

@Garch: Is Lilligant actually decent competitively? That would make me happy, but she doesn't seem like it.
I saw someone get pwnd by a Petal Dance one. It was like 1-2 shotting all his 'mon.

Anyway, on topic, I have a Deino with Dark Pulse and it has like: 31/X/X/31/30 or 31/31
I can't remember the Sp.Def but I think it was 31.

Is it just me, or does it seem that it is way to easy to get good IV's?
I breed like crazy, and most of my hatchlings have an IV of 31 in the hp, and another IV of 30/31 in another stat that I didn't even try for.

Most recent breed:
Yamask, modest, mischievious: 31/8/31/31/31/31 ( although I dislike the "bonus" 31 in speed) but it is still slow enough for what I want it for.

^ dude, that's freakin insane man, u wer so lucky that time.

Treecko
Adamant
23/31/18/20/31/31
egg move crunch
this took an hour and a half and i almost gave up.

^tell me about it, I tried for at least three hours to get the Yamask to get the three 31's, when I managed to get the three where I wanted them, started the process agian, 4 eggs in and it paid off finaly. I REALLY didn't want the 31 in the speed, was hopeing for a low number, like under 15 at least. Oh well.
Nice Treeko btw, as it is one of my fave pokies in 3rd gen. great place for the IV's.

Terrakion
Jolly
31/31/31/1/31/31
Fairly good for a first RNG attempt. :p

SO HAPPEH

Pretty nice Garch. I caught this myself earlier today:

Foongus - Relaxed - Effect Spore
31/17/31/31/31/00

Nope. The c-gear is obnoxious, it advances the frame once a second.

Just found out that in rain the frame advances 40 a second, making Thundurus near impossible to RNG. :/

Zorua
Timid
Egg moves: Dark Pulse, Extrasensory
31/30/30/31/31/31
HP ice 70

First RNG breed.
