Kentucky States March 4th

Yep- as in loses. Mostly I've seen only the medidoom variant, but only two players have tried it, possiblly a third and I've never seen it go better than .500 in a tourney or league.

No TeCH is not overrated tech is the way to beat some of your problem decks. I mean it could be the difference between winning and losing. Oh well, yor entitled to your opinion and I have mine. Well I'll see ya guys there.
 
CONFIRMED!! I will be able to make it...and my wife will be there and playing as well (i just taught her last night tho...so if you play her...don't take it easy but at least be nice)...so add 2 more to the 15+ group (my wife discovered there is a scrapbook store near there....so she's all for it now!)

that's what i hear...unfortunately i'm not one of them...this is my first ever tourney (i've only been playing for a month) so i don't expect much...except to have a good time..and get my wife a few eveeloutions....so if anyone has any lmk and we will make a deal and then trade them there
 
Despite all the talk, as always, the state champions will be decided through playing games. Pride has its place, competition has its place, Strategy and false leads have their place, and the Spirit of the Game should rule over all. :smile:

Lets stick to meta-game discussions, who is coming and how much fun we can have, or maybe even what kind of cool door prizes does Daddy Loudred have lined up for his first state Champioships?

The trophys are here, believe the hype- this will be the biggest tourney in Kentucky history if all who have told me they are coming show up!!!:thumb:

As an aside- if everyone has fun I don't give a hoot who wins, as long as they played hard, had fun, and comported themselves within the Spirit of the Game.:cool:
 
Couple things,

Blasty and DM8, seriously, stop the flame wars. It's really quite annoying to read you two subtlely bashing each other. As Bernie said, settle it with cards, but be fair sports about it. Competition brings out the best in a player, but if you're not careful, can bring out the worst too.

Also, I'd be very surprised if there would be any NC players in KY because NC's State is the same day, and it's way farther away.

Ohio does have good players, yeah. But you know, do not look at "Kentucky just being swept by Ohio." Everyone's there to have a good time, right? Besides, KY is still growing as an area and developing more competitive players. Bernie's done a great job (I am sure there are others behind the scenes helping out too). There is one Ohioan that cannot be included anymore and that'd be me. :)

Again, I would have loved to had the chance to defend my title. Especially with the deck I have cooked up. It'd be like Slaking all over again. :) Good luck everyone, have fun, and make sure when it's all said and done to thank your PTO, Bernie!

So I deleted all my stupid posts I made sorry guys. I souldnt have called you cocky when I was the one being stupid.
@ KG- I got a little ticked when he said the he or tis other kid are taking the 11-14 for shure.
