Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

League attendance Droping

The alternates don't necessarily have to be pokemon professors. One of our alternates is a mother of one of the regulars. Just a willingness to help out, that's all you need to find. Let's face it, to stamp books is not a hard job. If there are any questions your alternate can't answer, they can just refer them back to you on the next league session. The alternates don't have to know all the in's and out's, just the basics to keep the league going while you're away.

I ever doubt that the league I go to will have a big decrease in people. It's always cool. The league's people are always balanced around 40-60 people per week.

Our toys R us league has been getting less and less pokemon kids and more yugioh. (its pokemon/yugioh)

but our tjs league keeps getting new members, and we get about 15-20 people a week which is good for us

In albany our leauge always shifts. We get a few members here or there but since its opened we have lost a few and gained a few. Ive heard leauges in places lose and some gain. What i see is the west has the best leauges in way of attendance.

There's no other professors in my immediate area, so I couldn't find an altenate anyway.
I dunno if youve heard yet JJ....I found out in the first part of April that Danny H. is now our back up league leader for when Richard isnt there and such:thumb: .....

But as far as attendence goes our has been steady on fridays...but Saturdays have all but gone except for me and a few others

League drops quite a bit sometimes when say you have families of 3 or 5 coming and suddenly move away or stop playing the game. I've seen that happen.

Best if there are some events at the league that will attract people, such as mini tournaments, or raffles. When the PCNY League ended in Nov. 2004 for the holidays, they treated everyone with snacks, pizza, cake and soda. Not many league does this, but there was a big load of players that day(around 80). Also, if there is a mini tournament, judge it and you'll get extra points in your league book. My friend does this all the time. They double the points and make crazy rules that turns the Card Game around, whether if it's good or bad. No matter what, me and my friends always have fun. PCNY League rules!

I thought that PCNY was history?

They still have a league there. Even though it will be known as Nintendo World, the league will stay at the same area forever.

EDIT: Yesterday's league was the shortest amount of people in months.

Good discussion guys.

Let me assure you that most of the issues I see in this thread are being addressed, though it will be difficult for us to do much about many of them until the new cycle starts.

As for lack of response from [email protected], if you aren't getting a response, please feel free to email me directly at [email protected], and I'll look into the response time issue, and make sure you recieve a resolution.

The response you will get from me is "I have recieved your message, and will take care of it" or something to that degree. This is simply so that you know that your message was recieved. I do not deal with the problems directly, but will make sure that it is taken care of. If you do not recieve a resolution within a reasonable time, feel free to contact me again.

Thanks,
Prof. Dav

Hello Prof. Dav,

I just tried to send you an email message concerning some problems I've been having in getting additional league supplies along with getting a question or 2 answered, but your posted email address came back as being unavailable.

Though we have been busy as of late, I have noticed that league is pretty steady on Firdays as well, Clay. We do play test a lot of decks as well, but we also have a lot of GBA Players that I think sometimes don't get thrown into the league count do to not playing the TCG. Another thought is that a lot of Players have completed their POP1 Series collection and don't see a point to come to league. What is there to gain from coming to league when they are getting the same items over and over. Hopefully we will get some NEW prize support soon and then numbers I bet will go up again. Most Competitive Players have playtesting groups, Patriarch and Evilcacturne666, that get together at their leizure and test decks and what not so as to not have to go to league a lot or can miss if preparing for Tournaments and what to playtest seriously against each other.....

League is more of a Social arrangement for some as well so just Keep your Chin Up MMG!!! It will get better!! Especially if we start having some Sanctioned stuff at Y2K!!!

Fortunatly there has been some fresh players come, mostly younger. there are 3 who trade, but I have yet to see them play, hes allways wanting my deoxys LOL.
