lol yea u can, retreat uxie x, bring up a bat poketurn it and voila, another dead champ.

your turn: uxie x active, drop crobat, use zen blade, knockout machamp. lucario must be in play.

their turn: bring up other machamp that they set up in 1 turn with bts/candy/1 energy, take out uxie x.

your turn: initiate scoop phase, unless night maintainence is in hand, and a bebe's or something to recover uxie x, with uxie on bench and dce in hand. <-- likely? I don't think so. Unless you have unown g, uxie gets screwed by second machamp or a lucky hurricane punch even if it is attached, and there isn't anything you can do about it. That's what I was referring to. I know about the turn trick, but you have to have an uxie x that hasn't been taken out for it to work haha.

^ im assuming your uxie is g'd as it should be when facing a champ. and law of 50/50 says i should take 60 from hurricane punch.(not always true, lucky flips, champ x)
the issue being discussed is about unown g and its a must for any sp deck, at least one.

-1 gain
+unown g
-palmers
+night maintenance
-luxury
+bebes
-call
+cyrus

also lacking a mewtwo counter. bannette, mismaguis or dialga all work,
-pokegear
-rosseanes
+1-1 preferred m2x counter.

Mewtwo is not a HUGE threat. Mewtwo has to be benched a turn before it an LvX, unless you start with it. So during that 1 turn you can either Snipe it Via Garchomp, or Bright Look it and knock it out with Uxie X.

Ambipom can also be disruptive for Mewtwo, move away the few psychic energies that they have and voila. If worse comes to worst it'll at least stall for time as you're probably far ahead on prizes.

Any smart player isn't dumb enough to just toss down the Mewtwo the turn before a garchomp snipe; you either toss down Mewtwo and belt right away, or you wait for the snipe and the very next turn put down Mewtwo. Luxray X can't OHKO Mewtwo even with one bat drop.

so what happens if they go first and call for a mewtwo. you cant level up on your first turn so bright looks or dragon rushes. and they have a m2x next turn. no counter, then gg. sps need to run a counter, its good to have a plan b when a fails.

One word - "spray"

You spray their Uxie drops and Impact/Rush their Baltoys/Claydols, it's GG. And the more benched Pokemon they throw out, more food for Luxchomp.

Argument: This is not a perfect luxchomp deck. It isn't. But it is a luxchomp deck and i'm sure it has a better chance of winning tournaments than most non-luxchomp decks. Can we go back to the rogue days where rabies and gyrados would rain supreme? Why must we continuously conform to the cancerous luxchomp. I SAY REBEL MY POKEFRIENDS. REBEL AND MAKE CREATIVE FLYGON VARIATIONS WHERE IT'S USED AS A TECH INSTEAD OF ATACK. I SAY USE CHARIZARD AR WITH TYPHOLSION PRIME. OR EVEN PLAY SNOWPOINT TEMPLE WITH TURTWIG GL AND SHAYMIN L.V.X LANDFORM. ...or better yet. Make the sp counter (mewtwo of course but his days are shortening.

Uhhh sorry but I like to win, thanks

lol, at this thread. hatter's baits are the best.

anyway, I'd say 4 spray is the way to go so you increase your chance to start with it and cause it helps IMMENSELY in the mirror/against any sp deck. Whoever power sprays first is like 90% favorite to win.

I'm not saying Turtwig is as good as Luxchomp, but it's won a couple of trophies in the UK. It sounds pretty good, and destroys Gyarados.

That's not rebelling, that's just playing decks that are no less original but a lot worse than Luxchomp. Flygon variants have been meta since RR was released and Charizard/Typhlosion has been playtested by everybody. Turtwig Toolbox is a good deck, but it certainly doesn't need Landmin.

Raybees and Gyarados worked because they were actually GOOD in the Worlds 09 meta. No-one ran them to be rebellious, they ran them because they thought they would win. (That's exactly the same reason people run Luxchomp btw).

why scared of mewtwo?

mewtwo is probably one of the most unused cards in metas right now why are like have these posts mewtwo realated do you guys play luxchomp AHEM bright look dragon rush? seriousley mewtwo isint a threat anywhere ATM IMO

but yes 3 cyrus why not 4? 3 is not smart IMO due to the fact most people want to get the first turn cyrus power spray call energy down why 3 then it lowers your chances!

I like what Frunket said. I ran Garchomp SV for states and had no trouble with luxchomp. Luxchomp is a great deck, don't get me wrong, but anything can win if set up right and if you have comfort with it.

what if somebody plays two of the mewtwo down at once. or uses an expert belt. and then is not stupid enough to throw down bench bait each turn...

my list is 11 cards different.

it doesnt look like it at first glance though.

this list is decent, but makes me angry in some ways. no unown G is just lame. so is the 3 cyrus.

use bright look to bring up mewtwo, pokeurn and bring up uxie drop the X attatch DCE and you can 1HKO a mewtwo even if its belted.
