**Updated with last Regionals Tourney Uploads ** 4/22
Last year at this time there was a great debate on the gym of what was the superior strategy for a player in Worlds invite territory with POP Rank following Regionals. Some said it was better to skip playing in Battle Roads so as to not risk loosing points in such small events. Others said playing was the smart move as it would be a mistake to sit around and risk other players passing you up. So last year I tracked the Top 50 players to see week to week in Battle Roads which strategy paid off. It turned out that unless you were already in the Top 5, it did matter if you played or not. The majority of players who participated in Battle roads improved on their ability to play in worlds, while those who sat them out ended up ranked lower at the end of the events.
Of course that was true last year, this year could be different, so again I will track and update the weekly Top 50 Masters players throughout the Battle Road season and see who gains and looses invites through the changed metagame following the new release of Majestic Dawn.
