Mewtwo/Regigigas Full Art cards

As far as normal set cards go, the Full Arts will most likely end up being the most valuable after the shiny reprints.

Personally, I think the FA Supporters will retain the most value because they are a bit more of a novelty. There are dozens of Mewtwo cards, but there will likely only ever be one that features Skyla (for example). Apart from that, it will go with Pokemon popularity, and Mewtwo will always rate a lot higher than Gigas.

I agree though that once these cards rotate out, the value will go through the floor. If you want to buy FA EX cards as an investment, then buy them cheap off of players once they are out of modified and then you might see a gradual increase in price over the long term.

That's . . . quite a random thing for people to say. I mean, sure Mewtwo is a better card than Gigas, but then Mewtwo is also better than most (if not all) of the other EX cards as well.
 
i expected the Regigigas to emerge as the Beast of the Release. Sure the Mewtwo looks just awesome but the pair side by side is just sick:)
 
I'm mixed for regi and mewtwo

I think mewtwo is overly hyped and his 15 min of fame is up.
For god sakes the first movie was in 99 its now 2013 can we give some new legendary a try.

Despite if regi is good or bad we will never know regis full potential because everyone claims mewtwo is the best. Maybe its all in your minds.

I think regi and some other legendaries deserve its attention after all we are in this current generation not the first.

mewtwo is getting boring and regi cannot measure up to other peoples delusions.

So I'm starting to wonder in the short term, maybe even long term they both ruined it for themselves

mewtwo cant seem to go away so a new ledgend can try to win over the fans, and regi cant seem to meet up with expectations because of the nostalgic fans.

How can it be nostalgic when mewtwo never takes a break.

@gary HA regi being the beast of the release this whole time, this whole thread was about how everyone talks about these 2 cards in the same sentence in one way or another.

I hear fans talk about it all the time. Im surprised there is no
team mewtwo vs team regigigas shirts out there on ebay for support of their favorite ledgend.

I would love to see Pokemon INTL make a card set where unexpected pokemon were ledgends for 1 set or 1 year of packs.

I would love to see Magikarp or psyduck be a ledgend for once.
They paid their dues.

Mewtwo is exhaustingly number 1 and regi cannot make it in this gen because all the fans want old school pokemon.

I hope pokemon intl fixes their ways in time for pokemon x & y
just focus on the legends/rare cards of that gen.
 
I'm getting a bit confused now crazy, are you talking about the video game, the TCG, or just about how well loved these Pokemon are in general?

In the video game, Mewtwo isn't even legal for play in the official tournaments (and is in the uber tier for fansite-based play).

In the TCG, Mewtwo's history isn't THAT great . . . Mulligan Mewtwo novelty decks in Base Set, Movie promo Mewtwo was good, Mewtwo LV X was a good tech against Basic decks like AMU and later SP . . . but it's not had THAT much to show throughout the history of the TCG until we got the EX. And yes, Mewtwo EX IS much better than Gigas, it's not 'all in our minds', Gigas has seen some play but has been proved nowhere near as effective.

Mewtwo will always be more loved than Gigas and most other Legendaries. it is the original Legendary and star of the first movie. Gigas was like an afterthought in a Generation crammed with Legendaries that were much cooler (and a lot easier to catch). You might as well complain about people liking Charizard more than they do Blaziken.
 
Regigigas may take over but should at least stand side by side with the fa Mewtwo. There some BIG news coming out featuring Regi which ill fill you all in soon;)

I like to think regi would be as good as mewtwo someday as far it's worth.

Everyone is predicting mewtwo and regi would be low in value someday and not something worth investing.

I think it's because of the fans and their level of appreciation.
It is always biased for mewtwo
never giving regi a chance.

Mewtwo is like hulk hogan or john cena always hogging up the spotlight never giving another more deserving a chance.
And for what nostalgia nostalgia for who the fans or pokemon intl easy way to make a buck because mewtwo always sells more than others.

Everywhere i turn it's politics on who can kiss more but to make money instead of money being made on the more deserving.

Why else d everyone complain about todays gen how its not like past genrations.

most kids today wouldent know mewtwo if it was not for nintendo and pokemon intl forcing mewtwo down these kids throats.
Regi would get recognition if it was not for mewtwo always being center of attention.
For god sakes mewtwo is on 1 2 and 3 ssb trophy cards.

Pokemon cards will forever be a bad investment. Gold on the other hand...

Seriously though, once cards become rotated out the market will be flooded with supply driving the prices down to the ground.
You could pick some up and flip them later for a small profit but that'll be time well wasted to wait for that.
 
Mewtwo isn't popular because he gets more cards and merchandise, he get's more cards and merchandise because he's popular.

Nintendo respond to what fans want, releasing more stuff for more popular Pokémon because they know there is more demand for it. That's the reason Pikachu had significantly more cards than any other Pokémon (he's been featured on trophy since 1997 and still is being put on more).

I'm confused as to why you are putting the emphasis on Regigigas, in terms of Pokémon in general there are legendaries who are loved a lot less than him, and with cards there are EXs who are used less too.

I'd personally like to see the two of them on the same card down the road. That way Regi wouldn't steal mewtwos thunder and they could happily coexist.
We'll see them together soon...mark my words:)
 
I would love to see a pokemon movie of regigigas vs mewtwo

And have it in theaters 3D with a jumbo card of them battling it out.

That would be awesome
