Mountain West Regionals Will be held on May 21 in Salt Lake, at the Union Building at the University of Utah (where the STS QT's were held in the past and such). Registration starts at 9AM, tournament starts at 11AM

You should all know the prizes and such by now, so I won't repeat them ;)

For further information:

(P.S. yes it says 11PM on the site  I will fix that ASAP!)

The Colorado Springs crew will be there in-force, hoping to sweep.

Man, now that the UT players know how good Rock-lock and Slaking are (played at UT States by the CO crew), it will be interesting to see what they come up with at Regionals. Don't expect that silly basic EX (mostly Reggies) deck (beat my rock-lock in the 15+ finals) to get very far next time.

Hoping to sweep? I'd say hope is an understatement. We are coordinating our decks and strategies to form a fighting force of our finest players and working together we will find a way to take the title not just for one Colorado player, not just for Colorado Springs, but for all of Colorado.

Gee No Love for Vileplume

 Well I haven't heard anything yet about what people here are planning (nobody showed up at league because of Easter), but I'm hoping to see some fierece competition from all people coming. Maybe I'll perfect my rogue fire deck (gotta work on the trainer engine) I was playing with and give it to someone to sweep with

LOL watch some random person coming from somewhere, like say Tennessee, wins

Also it's going to be nice to be back at the Union building, and also having Tymon back :thumb:

well, none of the utah professors are playing, so that they can judge (Lucky You Guys, I Would Have Stomped Ya'll)

anyway, dont expect to have people to run anti rock-lock or slaking, and you running anti-anti rock lock slaking, cuz they will be running anti-anti-anti rock-lock slaking. and then i will just say exodia and i would win.

this is going to be great.

Oh ho. Really? What if we were to say that some deck you haven't even seen yet or haven't been used in a awfully long time? (I love stoking touranment fires)

The reason there is going to be alot of Colorado players is going is that there is a invite for Worlds on the line and anymore it seems we would swim across the pacific if we can just to have any chance to get to Worlds these days.

The NPPA will be there, although maybe not in full force.

WOOT, closer to us than last year. (UC Berkley)

Hmmmmmmmm...well I wonder  ???
I gotta keep checking on flight $$PRICES$$

maybe, just maybe...but we get 2 anyways - but so tempting!!!

we'll just see, who knows...

We'd LOVE to see some NV and CA players coming to MtnW Regionals.

As it currently stands, I've been asked to help out, so I might not be playing. But, my son will be my proxy, and he's better than me. Plus, we currently have the #1 ranked player in the world (and he's only 14), so we can pretty much count on winning that age group. And, in the 10-under group, we're hoping to take two top players- one who finished 3rd at Nats'04. So, CO will be there in force.

Adrian, enuf with the "no love."

Anyway, if Emerald helps VileplumeEX decks, I'll be convinced it has a chance to win Regionals. Otherwise, Blaze, Rock, and Draggy decks will win most Regionals, IMO.

Hey Steve, make sure you have a full van (but leave me a spot okay?) I have guarenteed my time off for that weekend so I am set to go!

That or we will have to caravan on our way to Salt Lake, in any case I hope to have a better time going up to Utah again.

.Who says all of the Utah Professors aren't playing? I know I'll definitely be playing. And as far as I can tell, a few others will be, too. Silly Rob.
