I met with some of our players on their way there earlier tonight, they'll be up there shortly... some of the others are leaving bright and early in the morning (hehe, knowing them, they'll probably be up all night!)

Troy I'm bummin you have to deal with weather issues AGAIN! Just once it would be nice for you not to have to!

I'll be anxious to hear how everything's going! But I'll miss being with all of you SO MUCH! *cries* Hope you all have a blast there! I'm sure you will!

Ok, I have some information for you, I'll get the rest shortly and post it for you as well...

135 players, 7 rounds for Masters with Top 16, 5 rounds for Jrs and Srs with Top 8

Here's what I know right now, and I'll update:

I just heard that the winner for the Jr Division was Ben M

I know that Dan N is in the Top 2 for Srs, but I have to find out who he's playing, (I know Toby N was in Top 4 but got bumped out.)

Top 16 for Masters was: (and there's one name missing near the middle, I'll try and get when I update, it was loud and hard to hear)

Congrats to everybody who participated and especially all of our TIY players!!! That's unfortunate luck with the bad weather situation, but it's good to hear that as many people were able to make it!

I heard that Kevin B made it to Top 4 against Jason K, but lost, so Jason's going on to Top 2... I believe Kevin said he came in 3rd. I didn't hear who won in the other two matches tho.

I'm the 4th place winner in Srs. It was GREAT! lots of friendly people and great decks all the way around. In fact, I met so many local players, I'm thinking of coming to TIY this coming weekend just to play them all again!

So.... wish someone would post who came in 1st for the masters! I haven't heard yet! Haven't gotten hold of anyone to let me know! I know it was Jason vs Jay... but who won?
 
All I know is that my dad did very well yesterday and so did everybody else that was there, and I had a lot of fun. I’ll have a tournament report as soon as I can (and ha ha dad you lost to me round 2 ha ha).
 
I had a great time up there, and am happy I managed to pull this one out of the bag. At first it looked like I wouldnt even make top cut, but when I did I was confident that I had a good enough deck to be able to win 2 out of 3 games everytime

congrats to Aaron for getting 2nd place, he was a great opponent :thumb:

Congrats to you Dan!!! I'm so proud of you!! You did great from what I heard!!! All of your friends at TIY send big congrats!! Looking forward to your report! Now, time to get ready for the next one! Have a blast at Nats!

Oh, and I see no one posted yet, but it was Jason K who took 1st for the Masters. So congrats to him too!
 
Yep Jason V Jay was an interesting battle, game one was won by Jason that seemed to have control over the hole game, even though he had 2 galade prized and they were his last 2 pulls. But jay was sure fighting back. (good effort) The second game came to time and it looked like Jay was doing very well but he just couldn't get all his prizes in time. Well great job to both of them.
 
Oh I would have loved to have seen that top match! I bet it was a good one! Actually there were quite a few I would've loved to have seen from the sounds of it!

Still hoping to get some pictures from any of you who were there... so far only got 1, and I'd love to have some to archive the event.

Great job to all those who played, and a special hug for all my TIY players who did so incredibly well! And Troy, so sorry I couldn't be up there with ya!! You know I would've if I could've! Bummer your phone wouldn't work in the building, but I have a hunch you had your hands full anyway. :wink:

Very nice video from Ben M's (1st Place Jr Div) dad. There is quite a difference in the overall competitive air at the big events as compared to the smaller events.
