Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

New Avatar the last Airbender series

It was always weird to me how there were so many Airbenders in Aang's flashbacks. They were all monks, right? Typically monks are children given to the temple by another family. Since Bending is known to be linked genetically, the older monks were either REALLY getting around (especially for monks) or there were a whole bunch of Airbending families somewhere that no one ever mentioned. Aang never goes into his parentage at all, but we know he can't just have sprung from the earth. (LOL) Where are the breeding Airbenders? (Or where were, since the question is moot by the time Katara & Sokka come into the picture)

there were female air benders who were also monks. in fact there was a female air bending avatar at one point. it was in an episode, not sure from which season. it had something to do with going into the avatar state when i saw this. so it is possible that the air benders where monks breeding amongst themselves, which is ironic cause monks dont breed and typically arent female. but if there are female air bending monks then it is possible that they are having the children.

Well, it was implied in the series end that Zuko's mom was alive when Zuko went to interrogate his father on her whereabouts, but it never definitively said one way or the other in the anime itself...so eh. Not like it honestly matters one way or the other, if she did come back Zuko would probably morph into some kind of mama's boy or something.

I just hope they go back and pick up some of the loose ends. =( There soo many!

Zuko's mom, Hawky, Sokka's space sword, what happened to the guys Toph locked up in the metal box, and so on. Plus I want to see more of Katara, Toph, and the others!

TBH, I'd much rather see a pick up of the main series then a 75-year-later spin-off.

Right...Hawky? Why would you ever care what happened to him...the sword is pretty much gone (it was pretty much just a filler anyways), no one really cares what happened to the 2 Toph locked in the box...etc. Only Toph really stands a chance of being alive, Katara and Sokka and pretty much the rest of the main cast would be over 80 and Aang is obviously dead.

I'm surprised that it took less than 75 years for Aang to die. In the avatar universe, there are tons of people that live into there hundreds. Heck, Roku lived a long life too (and didn't die a natural death), so I'd guess Aang would've been alive if this happened, but oh well, a sequel is a sequel.

Well, Roku wasn't that that old...I mean, he didn't live past what, 80 or so? Aang was already over 100 when the series started, so technically he had a pretty good life living on for another 60 years after the show ended.

Besides, it's yet to have been addressed (I think?) whether or not the cause of death was natural for Aang; he could have died saving some random village for some random natural destruction.

Also, consider the relative "primitiveness" of the Avatar world, akin to what, maybe middle ages (except for the random steampunk the fire nation comes up with); anything over 60 would probably be pretty dang old, and older still for anyone past that. The avatar probably has a more elongated lifespan to help him deal with his duties, but that'd be the exception.

@ above: It's implied he does indeed die. Death happens, even in a kid's show. Just a shame they didn't have the guts to let Aang kill the Firelord.
