Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

New CaC Contest: Apprentice: Los Angeles: Challenge 1: Team Blue☺

Beedrill ex

Strategy: Beedrill doesn't really stand out as an "*** THIS DECK GETS SCREWED OVER NOW I EXIST LOLZ!?!?" sort of card, although it's still a force to be reconed with if played correctly. The key to using Beedrill is to skillfully manipulate the amount of damage counters on it to keep the opponent Paralzyed for as long as possible. With regards to this, it obviously combos well with Pokémon with Shady Move - Banette ex and Typhlosion. Continuing the theme of psychic support, Gardevoir em is also an option.
Once you've managed to successfully Paralyze your opponent, you'll want them to stay Paralyzed. Since the two most common ways to get around a Paralyzed Pokémon are Trainer cards and certain Powers, you could consider using cards such as Houndoom or Gardevoir ex.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Right. I've been over everything, and this is what I've got.

Name: Gardevoir EX δ Delta Species
Type: [Psychic][Water]
Evolution: Stage 2 (evolves from Kirlia)
When Pokémon-ex has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.
HP: 160
PokéeBody: Psychic Aid
As long as Gardevoir ex has any basic [P] Energy cards attached to it, the Retreat Cost for each of your Ralts, Kirlia, Gardevoir and Gardevoir ex is 0.
Attack 1: [Psychic][Colorless] Psychic Wave 10+
Does 10 damage plus 10 more damage for each Energy attached to Gardevoir ex and the Defending Pokémon.
Attack 2: [Psychic][Water][Metal][Colorless] Energy Bomb 50+
You may discard all Energy cards attached to Gardevoir ex. If you do, this attack does 50 damage plus 50 more damage and this attacks' damage isn't affected by Resistance.
Weakness: [Pyschic][Grass]
Resistance: [Fighting][Fire]
Retreat Cost: [Colorless][Colorless][Colorless]
Flavor Text: This pokemon growth depend on its bond with its trainer Lv.100 #282

Zora's thoughts: Delta Species dual types have always been partially metal, and the exs have always been monotype, so I'd advise changing Gardevoir to a pure Water. Also, as previously pointed out Delta type doesn't influence Weakness and resistance, so the Fire weakness should be replaced with something more suitable. I also have issues with the attack originality. Psychic Wave is direct from Deoxys ex (Normal form), while the other two are only a slight spin on very common effects. I'd like it if at least Psychic Wave was replaced with something more creative. Energy Bomb is also extremely underpowered for its cost, so you could up the damage a bit more.

Venusaur ex
(G)
150 HP
Stage 2 Card
Evolves from Ivysaur
Place Venusaur ex on the stage 1 card
When Pokémon-ex has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.
Poké-Power: Endeavor Spore
Once during your turn (before your attack), if Venusaur ex is your Active Pokémon and its remaining HP is 50 or less, you may put 3 damage counters on 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. This power can't be used if Venusaur ex is affected by a Special Condition.
(G)(C) Acid Pollen 20
The Defending Pokémon is now Burned and Poisoned.
(G)(G)(G)(C) Frenzy Plant 120
Venusaur ex can't attack during your next turn.
Weakness: (R)(P)
Resistance: (W)(G)
Retreat Cost: (C)(C)(C)

Zora's thoughts: Both of your attacks suffer severely in creativity. Paticularly the first, which is nearly identical to the real Venusaur ex's. You're also forgetting to add the flavour text.

Metagross ex (Lvl.68) 130HP [M]
Stage 2 Pokémon (Evolves from Metang or Metang EX, put Metagross EX on the Stage 1 Pokémon.)
When Pokémon-ex has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.
Poké-Power: Psychic Link
Whenever 1 of your Benched Pokémon is damaged by an opponent's attack, you may do that damage to Metagross ex instead. You can't use this power if Metagross ex would be Knocked Out by that damage.
[M][M][M] Heavy Metal Crash 30+
Flip a number of coins equal to the number of damage counters on Metagross ex. This attack does 30 damage plus 20 more damage for each heads. Metagross ex does 10 damage times the number of tails to itself.
Weakness: [R][F]
Resistance: [G][P]-30
Retreat Cost: [C][C][C]

Zora's thoughts: Did you have a choice in mind for when the Power can be used? Only when Active, only when Benched, or both? If the former, it should probably have a Special Condition clause.

Aggron ex
Metal
Stage 2 - Evolves from Lairon
When Pokémon-ex has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.
150 HP
Poké-Body: Rampage
At the beginning of each players turn (after he or she draws a card) he or she discards the bottom card of his or her deck.
Metal Crash - [M][M][M] - 70+
Discard an Energy card attached to Aggron ex. Discard the top card of each player's deck, this attack does 70 damage plus 20 more damage for each Trainer card discarded in this way.
Pull Away - [M][M][C][C] - 90
If your opponent has 5 or more cards in his or her hand, look at his or her hand and discard a number of cards until your opponent has 4 cards left in his or her hand.
Weakness - [R][F]
Resistance - [G][L]
Retreat Cost - [C][C][C][C]

Zora's thoughts: Aggron has no reason to have Lightning Resistance. Colourless would be more appropriate.

Tyranitar ex
Stage 2 [D] Pokemon
Evolves from Pupitar
150 HP
Pokemon-ex Rule: When Pokémon-ex has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.
(Poké-POWER)- Tail Sweep
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may discard an Energy card that provides 2 or more Energy attached to 1 of your Pokémon. If you do, look at your opponent's hand, choose two cards there, and discard them. Afterwards, your opponent may choose 1 of his or her Benched Pokémon and return it and all cards attached to it to his or her hand. You can't use this power if Tyranitar ex is affected by a Special Condition.
[D][C] Mountain Bomber
Discard up to 10 cards from the top of your deck. Put a number of damage counters on 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon equal to the number of cards discarded in this way.
[D][D][C] Roar Blast 80
If the Defending Pokémon is Knocked Out by this attack, your opponent shuffles the Defending Pokémon and all cards attached to it into his or her deck.
Weakness[G][F]
Resistance[P][R]
Retreat Cost[C][C][C][C]

Zora's thoughts: You also suffer from forgotten flavour text.

If you want a source for my grammar edits, or think I've done something wrong, don't hesitate to point it out. The key word is I'm practically perfect in every single way. Also, if you happen to see Cardz5000 or Lionheart EX online at the same time you are, PM them and remind them their presence is needed. Or if you have another way to contact them, use that too.

To answer you Zora, it works in both situations. Just need to remind you though.. It is a PokeBody... Thanks anyway though.

but spoinkmaster.....its 110 damage without applying resistance.....you still think its underbroken? if you still thank so, i'll either reduce the energy cost by one [Psychic] or increase the damage to 150 (max)

Reduce energy cost. 3 for 60 is much more reasonable, cuz the average ex hit 3 for 70 and a small effect, your's is 3 for 60 and a larger effect.
