Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

new decks with majestic dawn??

And mewtwo lvx will be the end of garchomp lvx.
Garchomp Lv.X is a tech, not a card you base your strategy on.
The deck still runs standard Garchomps that can be set up as Stage 2 Pokémon.

The only deck Mewtwo will own is Azelf/Uxie/Mesprit.

btw straight grass Leafeon / Sceptile still has problems with Magmortar. Even if you shut off the weakness with Umbreon, Mag can snipe your Sceptile/Espeon/whatever.

Lets see... We got Chomp Lv.X So Garchomp will be big and improved. Glaceon Lv.X will dominate all the way into next season. Still unsure about how Leafeon and the restof the Eevelutions will do, but will be played. Kabutops is a great overall card(can't wait to finally try my Kabutops deck). Banette will get better as Mag loses popularity. So Eevelutions, Glaceon, Garchomp, Fossil(Kabutops & Ampharos maybe?). I don't believe Mewtwo Lv.X is MD(please correct me if I'm wrong).

Im unsure about damage spread decks right now. The pokes have SO much HP and 10/20 spread a turn isnt fast enough.

We need at least 30 damage a turn!

leafeon.... still havent test it against mortar, so it might go 50-50.

Glaceon, Espeon, and Leafeon are the cards I'm looking at in this set.
Go for a T3 Glaceon Lv. X, lock their powers, spread damage and then set up the rest of your Eevees.
If it can get totally set up by T3, I honestly think that it can go at least 60/40 against anything out there.

Eeveelutions are obvious, Garchomp is new n improved, so yeah.

I think the main poke of interest are the new eeveelutions, just go Glaceon x and lock em, Leaf X for nrg accel, Esp n Umb to support.

However, Glaceon can only KO Magmortar Lv. X. Everything else is too strong to be 1hko'd by Glace, and Gallade can flip over 3 prizes to KO Glace(after the Esp hp boost) and Mag can snipe everything easily. So I think this deck will have some survivability issues...

yes metagross is good especially with beldiums power!@!@!!!! i mean its awsome play zone lvl x free retreat so you have 2 reversals a turn wow lol

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

not to mention magnazone moves energies!!!!!!!

This gave me a nice laugh, no cards in MD will be good enough to make a deck, Gardy/Gallade will just continue to win everything. Kk? Thx

EDIT: Oh and,
My idee will become BDIF

why everybody talking in the bord about cards from the *** DP5.......
i thing it´s much more interesting what we can do with MD.

=/

I've heard a lot about Kingdra. Possible stop (or slowing) to Magmortar?? I also LOVEEEE the Metagross. His power is a pokemon reversal, but YOU get to choose who to switch if you get heads. Phione will likely see play.

YOU also chose with reversal.

i think glaceon will see small butsignificant play, leafeon too much play and probably kingdra will make a rate cool seed deck.

the threat of omastar will just increase PLOX play, which is a proven winner.

garchomp level x will be.... interesting to see if it pans out. it won't be used to set up unsupported stage 2s with useful powers (like gardevoir sw) because the game is too fast to regularly allow 4-5 turns of set up. i bet the best candidate for rebirth will be another garchomp already in the discard pile. and since the best counter to this deck will be another garchomp deck i think we will see a considerable increase in play.

i don't think the eeveelutions with work with scepgrowth at all. i don't see scepgrowth being saved by blastoise cg techs, why would another line of pokemon crammed in an already crowded deck help? there simply isnt room for everything needed to make it work as a top tier deck.

i am hopeful that eeveelutions will work as an archetype itself but something tells me to be skeptical. there is a lot of setup to make it really work and a lot of competing evolutions looking to go on top of just four eevees, and that is if none of them are prized. now that i think about it i think the eeveelutions and garchomp level x might be a workable hybrid. but that is a lot of level x's to try to get into play.

garchomp level x is nice.. but.... i think it´s not more than a tech in a garchomp deck....

it´s to slow to build a deck only with garchomp L.X and good Stage2 pokemon.

You don't need stronge Stage 2's. If you're going for LvX's attack, then just Get garchomp with three energy. Garchomp with a weakness energy, along with a pluspower and the LvX's power damage is enough to OHKO almost everything. Plus the deck can abuse Crystal Beach, which is also nice. As for Mewtwo beating this... No. Definantly not. Just put a Stage 1 down with three energy, Evolve it next turn, and Voila! Mewtwo is useless.

Leafeon + Sceptile is amazing. Speed Glaceon is amazing as well. I can see some flaws though, but with the right list I'm sure they will have a huge impact.

Empoleon is also getting better, I'm just wondering if it will matter. I just don't see empoleon being a popular deck. I say this with complete bias.

Omastar will be an awesome tech, make playing at least pne Phione a good idea, but it's own deck would probably be good as well. Run it with a bench hitter like Blaziken or Magmortar or Empoleon or Glaceon. Anything, really.

My only worry on Scep/Leafeon is its setup and its fire weak. Fire will probably still see play in the meta for a while longer, and while it should keep ahead of Gardylade, it will still have some problems with the Plox a bit.

I rather like Glaceon myself. You don't necessarily need the esp/umb tech (Glacia's stadium can kill the weak if you honestly worry about metal weak in this format.. :p), but you can put the retreater and a Vaporeon in to assist. I think it will work well with Empoleon, but it might not even need it.

with the next set or not, i agree. though i only have 4 players to call a metagame in exeter, magmortar is obviously a good deck. also with MD comes the arrival of the new ape, which is a bit of a beast.
