OK, everyone is getting the word out on their marathons early so that players can make plans.

We are repeating the NJ marathon, this time with 5 events.
It will be the week between Christmas and New Years, in December 2011.
We will start at the South end (Atlantic City area) and will move North as the week progresses.
I'll be running the first 4 events and Lori Deuser will run the 5th.

More details as we finalize plans.

Awesome! Last year was excellent.

The hotel was really good. Tables in the lobby and the arcade made it a memorable experience. If it is still centrally located, I had no problem with it if you want to choose that one to try to get a special rate at ;)

I should be there. Probably gonna have to rent a hotel with some friends, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Is there enough space in Northfield? I don't want to be in super cramped space and I assume we'll reach at least the 64 kicker in Masters. I know that West Berlin, The bowling alley one, Any of Lori's events, and Burlington should have enough space.(especially if Burlington uses the same part of the mall as we did for the Battle Road) But Jester's Playhouse probably won't fit enough people. Or will Northfield be in a different venue?

Hopefully there won't be a huge Snow Storm again

Jesters has moved up the road to a new location. They have a huge gaming room and can easily fit over 100 players!

That's good. I don't think there is as much of a chance for overpopulation at these tournaments because there are 3 other marathons going on at the same time, but hopefully that's enough space.

IMO, the various City Championship Marathons should be more of a Regional thing rather than a National thing, like Georgia had been for a couple of years. It's good to see 3 of them going on in a single year, gives more players the opportunity to be a part of something so unique.

I say go to the Marathon that is run by a member of the Rules Team and is a Nats and Worlds Head Judge. :thumb::biggrin:

Awesome!

Now, about that hotel block rate. Once I get that, I am set to go. Also, please provide me with the contact information to the hotel as well.

OK, I have a group rate at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Mt. Laurel, right off of 295, so easy to get to any of the tournaments from it.
It's about 1 hr from Jesters, but very close to both All Things Fun and Burlington Center in the middle, and about an hour south of Howell.

It's for Monday night through Friday night at $99/night.
Since it's a Residence Inn, the rooms all include full kitchens!

Reservation made. The operator could not find the group code but was aware of the pokemon group and was able to look it up with that description.

The group rate is made with the studio room (the bedroom and living room, with pullout couch, are the same room), so the 1 & 2 separate bedrooms are not covered under the group rate.
