New Onix Error?

Ive heard from a few other people that read Japanese and it seems that there is an error.
Plus, as noted, it's too good a card as it is now.

This is all I wanted to hear. I disagree however that this is too good. It's one of the worst bench sitter's around, no "real"attacks, and any abusive talk about it with feraligator can already be done with dawn stadium. It is very nice yes, but not format warping. Unless you mean that it's too good for it being a common, then yes I agree.
When I say "too good", I don't mean "game breaking".
I mean that it does much more and more easily than comparable cards that are harder to get into play and/or have limits on their usage.

Kind of hope it is stackable. Making Steelix worth playing means I can make a gratuitous amount of puns and analogies to Apollo and the Serpent.

This is very simple and logical reasoning. Source A says X, Source B says Y. What is true? Source A has been wrong before, as well as Source B. What is likely now? That Source A is wrong, or that Source B is wrong? Is there any information shown that says one way or the other? No, none at all. Now add a third source, Source C. They say X. What is most likely now? That two separate sources got it wrong, or that Source B got it wrong? It is more likely that Source B got it wrong, since two different sources, who more than likely have no bias for or against each other, both said the same thing.
In this scenario, Source A is Bangiras, Source B is PoP, and Source C is Pokepop's translating friends. There has been nothing rash or ridiculous about how I have approached this dilemma.
Of course if it's not me you're talking about, then nvm.

The scenario I see is this:
Pokemon translators and Bangiras all speak Japanese and English. Bangiras noted that there was a mistake in the English translation while Pokemon hasn't commented and probably won't until release. They've had to errata cards before (Electrode SW, Unown G), so it seems likely to me that in this case Bangiras is right.

I agree with Bangiras translation, however it is not from the same method you explain. Both translations have been brought into question, thus the sources are brought into question, why does it make sense that the sources shuold verify themselves? Why wouldn't they say that? It eliminates all doubt when bringing in another source.

When you have a source as reputable as Bangiras (translating a multitude of cards is BOUND to create a minor mistake somewhere), and upon revision they verify something as clear as the pokemon that heals from a Poke-Body, it only makes sense that it would be correct.
Also, the FAQ verifies that the Japanese one works the same way Bangiras translated it.
Believe me, I wish he was wrong (no offense), because even the way he is printed now, he is powerful but still borderline unplayable. It would be cool to have an option like Onix, as there is nothing else too similar to it right now.

There was no mention of a re-translation of the card made by Bangiras.(she btw) If anything she listed how it could've slipped by her in her post, as well as PoP. Plus the consensus on pokebeach very confidently and initially didn't seem to even consider that their translation could be wrong, without any other sort of verification. This audacity can be easily read into Bangira's post on this thread. Explaining how mistakes can be made in translations and then overlooked because of the expected text, but to not consider that of herself, but exclusively to PoP in this instance.
I don't think this card is too good, yeah its a common but so what? Who says commons aren't allowed to actually be useful for a change? Yeah its gonna be good in a Gatr Prime deck, but most decks have so much on the bench, I don't see it fitting too often, plus if you're using the energy attachments to heal you might have to attach them to places you don't want to, and Starmie is definitely K.O.-able, then you're stuck with guys with energy you don't want them to have, there are ways to play around it, it is by no means too great. Yes, it stacks, but if you waste three bench spots with onixes, a fourth on claydol, the fifth with and azelf/uxie/crobat g, who else attacks once your active dies? It limits what you can do by taking up space, so I would actually like to see it keep its body. It makes up for some potentially interestind (not undefeatable) decks, and evens out the playing field just a little bit, especially once we hit HG-on.
Think about it- how many people would say that Feraligatr now easily beats LuxChomp? Not too many. 'Yeah Onix helps but... LuxChomp is still the BDIF' is the response I plan on hearing the most.
